Moral of the story is..........
I dont mind a couple maniacs at my table. I'll get their chips eventually. But when theres 4 or 5 out of 9 , the odds are against you. I decided to move up in limits on Saturdays to avoid the masses only to find I may need to move up a little more.
In no way am I saying that PS is full of Donkey/LuckBox's. I dont want to go there. But their are more than usual on Saturday nights and if you want to avoid them, I suggest moving to limits higher than the $12 180 man sng's.
Anyone have any success on Saturdays in particular at the $20 levels, as thats where I may need to go next. Any suggestions are appreciated.

At this point I was just looking to gamble and try and triple or quadruple up. Figured the 2xbb raise would entice more callers. (LOL what was I thinking) Like it really mattered at this point. The play was just so overly agressive I never even had an opportunity. For a split second when I saw they were both drawing to the same 2 outs I thought I had a chance. (LOL what was I thinking)
Geeez. Here we go again. Some may ridicule my tight play especially in a turbo but you need to understand I generally dont play this tight. Also, I just took 2nd in one of these $12 turbos last week playing my same tight game (Albeit, not this tight) ...... It was just crazy agressive from box to wire. It was raise, reraise, reraise, all-in just about every hand. I cashed out $400 from my last win and now all my cards are losers again. Must I go through this everytime I cash out????
OK my conspiracy theory about the cash-out curse is a little far fetched. I'm sure its pure coincidence. Or is it??????????? Hmmmmmmmmmm??????
OK done ranting.... for tonight that is

WOW thanks Mars......... That is great. I knew with all that technology out there, that there must be a way to check those things. You are my new hero.
and just as I suspected....... Saturdays shows "O" profit....... that is if I'm reading it right. Surprised it doesnt show negative like on Sunday.
Again, Thanks Mars. | |

| | | | I'd be curious to know if others experience the same type results during the different days of the weeks.
I'm sure some dont want their graphs shown (To me it doesnt matter). So if some others could chime in with just their top 3 days and their bottom 3 days I'd like to see if there is a trend here.
Not sure if you need a subscription to Sharkscope or not to get that info, but if you do...... Mars obviously has one and you could just post your inquiries in this thread and maybe Mars wouldnt mind posting some of the results.
Thanks again Mars | |

| | | | Best are Friday, Wednesday, Thursday
Worst are Monday, Saturday, Tuesday
I wouldn't put much stock in my worst days though... if you look at my SS graph I went from 0 down to -$1000 in the first 30 or so games that I ever played (currently at even). Seriously doubt it would have mattered at the time what days of the week those were heheheh

| | | | Looks like your showing jut a little profit on Saturdays and a +10% ROI Bsquad
but Saturday are certainly your worst day.
I agree, Saturday nights are crazy in stars. You do seem to find far worse
players on those nights. Ok, you want bad players but, for example, when I'm getting 3 or 4 callers to my preflop re-raises at 6max tables it can all get a bit silly.

My worst days are Saturday at ($-280) and Thursday ($-200). Might just take a break on those two days.
The Turbos you play, lend themselves to alot a crazy play, and you need to catch strong hands quickly, play them strong and hope they hold up. they are NOT something I would recommend playing on a regular basis

| | | | OK 3 players chimed in with their stats and so far all 3 have Saturdays ranked as one of or "the" worst day for profit. Interesting. Quote: |

| I hear what your saying Fink on not putting too much stock into it. Probably wouldnt have mattered which days you played your first 30 games. Maybe its coincidence that Saturday happens to be one of your worst days for profit. But then again, Why wasn't it Friday? Quote:

| exactly my point 7. It seems like Saturday brings out an increase in every highschool kid with $20 to burn. No logic of the game other than what they see on TV. To me it seems that it is drastically reducing my odds of making a profit. I've been saying this for a while without even knowing if there was a stat that could confirm it. Obviously there is and obviously "to me" It has been proven that I lose more money on a Saturday. Its also been confirmed by at least 2 other "premium players" that Saturdays has also proven to be their worst days for profit as well.
I'd like to see more input. If 6 others chime in and they all say Saturdays is amongst their most profitable days then maybe I'll need to reconsider. However, we are 3 for 3 right now. And if 6 more all come out and agree that Saturdays seem to be their least profitable days then maybe we all need to look into either sitting out the saturdays or finding a game/level in which we can make a profit at. | I am beginning to agree with you Ref. I was seeking an alternate game as the normal 4,5,6$$ games where turning into freeroll type plays especially on Saturdays. I started with the $12 turbo's as my first stop. Just a coincidence that I ended up placing 2nd early on I guess. I'm starting to see the light on these much more clearly. It seems like any "turbo" game is the type of game that these highschool junkies are seeking out. Its either low money buy-ins as thats they all they can afford, or if they they do have $25-$50 in their account they want the faced paced thrill type action of a turbo game.
I'm going to try again next Saturday too seek an alternative. I'd like to say I will just give up playing Saturdays altogether but it's really the only day I have away from work as the only constant from my job is that I dont work Sundays. So Saturdays I can stay up as late as I want after the family goes to bed and I can sleep in on Sunday Mornings.
I will try some non-turbo $10-$15 multi-table sng's..... something you cant easily find on the main tournament screen. I will report back as to how I made out.
In the meantime,if some more players can chime in on their best and worst days as well if anyone has any success on Saturdays in particular and if so, which types of games you are playing.
Thanks for all the input guys.
