Default Discouraging straight and flush draws

I seem to get burned all the time by trying to discourage draws by betting two-thirds of the pot or so and sometimes pot size bets. They just keep calling me all the way to the river and beat me. What do you do?

exactly the same. The majority of the time they miss and you pick up a nice pot....when they hit and represent on the river you can throw away your hand (most of the time - obviously read dependant and sometimes you have to call because odds are soo good you cant fold)....

Yeah here's the thing man, most poker players are to stupid to fold a flush darw or open ended straight draw even when you're betting the pot. Basically all you gotta do is keep betting every street and hope those scare cards dont come up. If they do check and fold. If they dont, HERE COME THE DOLLAS!!!!!
