For those that said it might be the right call for a cash game and not in a tournament...well this is a series, it's not over until one player wins 5.

For those that are always on the run when there is an opponent potential win hit...then when do you play? there is always an opponent potential win hit, even with a gutshot, when you are holding trip Aces. Maybe you like giving that opponent his look for the gutshot...I don't, even though the chances are slim.
I think reading the numerous barrage of bad beat stories where you continually overplay hands and go all-in has influenced much of our thinking.

I personally do not agree with the play after a Fink re-raise and I am 1000% behind my opinion and also do not believe 99% of all pros would have done that play.

Also, Cat you without doubt you are a very very very good heads-up player, but to say you are one of the top ranked heads-up players in the world is overstating it a bit don't you think? Like how long have you been playing at this level?

I remember Vida Blue being the greatest pitcher one time. I also remember Brady Anderson hit 50 home runs one year (not accusing you of being on roids but wouldn't be shocked if you did have some Adderall). When you have a few years put together then you can claim to be one of the best in the world. Again you are good and obviously hot but a year or so doesn't make you one of the greatest yet.

Rocket, don't assume by my bad beat stories that I am an all-in player...do I play all-ins?...yes, after all that is why it is NL...will I run from all-ins?...no, not if I think I can win, but to assume that the only way to play NL is by playing games to the river is wrong, if one thinks that way then just play high blind limit games...AI's are a tool and are used in many different situations with many different hands under different situations and conditions...it is to be used as the ultimate pressure, not an ultimate chip maker...at times an AI may be used by a smaller stack, saying "stop it already, you are not going to bully me out"...other times it is "don't be a fool, lay down your hand" and then you have " go ahead sucker, put your stack in the center to try and outdraw me"...it is used as "get this player off the table already" it should seldom be used as "wow, if I win my all-in I will win a lot of chips" and I am not a WOW I will win a lot of chips player...but I will use it for the other situations....after all I play NL poker and I am not one to say OK let's take it to the river to see who has the highest hand, because almost any hand can be outdrawn! I am a much more of an all-in bettor than an all-in caller for the afore mentioned reasons.

As far as cat5...He said he is one of the top HU players in the world and he is...look at Shark Scope...He did not say that he is one of the best all time HU players or that he is some sort of legend...just that as of now, he is one of the top HU players in the world...If it were for one day or one week that would be exaggerating it...but when you have almost a couple of years at the top, then he has the right to say that. Cat5cane is in #1 with a Platinum star and gimme is in 5th place with a gold star, in their comfortable game range of $100 to $300 games, so I think they both need congratulations not to be criticized. Those that top their standings may criticize their play and advise in HU.

That table from sharkscope is pretty conclusive. cat5cane and bambos rule ass and there's no argumant anyone can come up with to prove otherwise.

You're numbers are impressive. Nice job. Still, you've gone from 100%, to 1000% to 99.99%. It seems like I could get a better explanation from the "most feared" HU pro in the world why it's 100%... uh 1000%.. uh 99.99% the right play.

I have to say with a 2-1 chip lead I'm thinking it has to be the right play, getting your chips in on a flip (more-so when you have the PP) because the "virtual coin flip" is a 50/50 shot at the win... you lose it you aren't exactly in bad shape.

Slightly more that half the time you'll win the hand which means you win the tournament.

Slightly less often you will lose the hand giving your opponent the 2-1 chip lead.
