| | | | know what you mean ref - i have found them profitable but hugely swingy. To make a profit you need to be able to nail the FTs and play very strong consistant poker but the quality of play is so attrocious that long term profits are there for the taking but you need to adapt your game right and if you play in an unprofitable way and happen to be multitabling then a few 100 could disappear quickly
I am playing them more because i do not have the time for other games but do find them enjoyable and not without profit | |

| | | | Bryan your a very skilled MTT player. Any general advice you can give to playing final tables? I seem to regularly make them but usually bust out 5th/6th before the big money. Do you like to wait for the shorter stacks to bust (to move up the money) or do you just play the cards your dealt? | |

| | | | Thanks JayC, I do have my share of good luck I am not sure I could tell you anything that you don't already know or that you could read in any good poker book. My turbo strategy is obviously quite different from a regular tourney strategy. I tend to let folks fall by the wayside while I pick up blinds and small pots early on. It never bothers me to see some guy with a huge chip lead early in a tourney ( they usually don't stay there). However with that said if the situation arises I will shove my chips into a big pot (or create one) at any point in a tourney. The 80 player stud tourney that I won a couple weeks ago, I had a huge early chip lead , only to lose most of it back, then come on strong again at the final table. At this turbo tourney last night I believe I was 8th out of 9 starting the final table. I waited a bit for a couple guys to drop out then hit a all-in to move me up. Bottm line , I would say I generally play fewer hands than most , but push hard when I do play. Good luck to you in your games ....
