Sure the money is nice but its really making the FT is more important. I have been on 2 Final Tables of MTT's this week!! Using what I have been taught, knowing that my KK is no good when that A hits the board...fold, patience, listening to my intuition, knowing when Im beat, and having a good time.
This is what I have learned, This is the type of Poker Player I am. |
Very nice Cali, I just finished 2nd in a $12 PS MTT, but I still lost a big hand with KK to 33. I would fold also with KK if an A flopped, but I go all-in with them pre-flop, I want to isolate, if you don't, then the rag players can hit two pair, str8's etc. Now there are times when I do win with them, but only if no one calls pre-flop and I have tried playing them out, but I still lost. Even the 33 hand that beat me, a lot of players would not have called my all-in bet with 33 for 30,000 chips when I had a taller chip stack and I will still lose all my chips to a set, if I did play them out. I just keep playing them and losing...I'm not going to fold them...maybe someday I will start getting payed back.
I don't know what it is, maybe the poker God's have heard that I am trying to get Kings eliminated from the decks of poker cards, what they don't understand is that I would let them have 8 kings in there if they let me win with them once in a while...just 10% that's all I ask!
Anyway, you had a nice run there!
