I want to show u guys what will separate u from the pack, here is an example of a pretty sick call that i made, but it only really took me a few seconds to put the hand together. I raise preflop with 56ss, there were 2 callers, Flop came down i made a continuation bet, which i will do alot of the time i got called by both players, turn hits, it goes check around, and now the river actually hits me, but not really that good, player one cks i ck and the button moves all in immediately, Now i looked at the hands that i thought this player would be holding here, I did not put him on an ace for sure, because he just flat called my flop bet and then he cked the turn, so no ace for sure i thought, Hes not gonna bet the King there, so the only hand he might have had was 888 , but this is very unlikely also if u play the math, i think he would have bet the turn with trips, especially with 2 other players in the hand, now after computing the info i gathered, i put this man on one of three hands here, a broadway draw, either TJ QT or QJ, i call him down immediately and he shows TJ, a busted broadway draw. These are the types of things u need to do to separate urself from the pack as a poker player and it really isnt that hard if u just concentrate and think about what is going on during the hands that u play. GL at the tables, and play the other players cards, dont let the cards play u

| | | | Nice hand Cat. The min raise from that position with 56s is interesting but it worked out. Nice read. It's tough to put somebody on a gut-shot draw for that kind of bet. Granted, no flush draw so if you put him on a draw then what else is there?
What stands out to me the most in this hand is the all-in bet on the river. The first question I ask myself is, What are the stakes in this game and what is the skill level of this player? If we're talking a freeroll or lower buyin then that bet is clearly an over bet and an attempt to buy the pot. I think a skilled player is certainly capable of making that bet with a monster to induce that call.
Assuming it's a lower skilled player, the only reason for him to make a bet that strong (being last to act) is that the only way he feels he can win the pot is to steal it. Frankly, few people make that call with a 6 and even when they do it doesn't win every time. The only hand you beat here is an absolute bluff.
Nice one.

| | | | very nice call, your thinking makes alot of sense (I don't usually think that deep into a hand.....gotta be one of my leaks) and it was a very good read. It's the type of call that either makes you look like a complete idiot or a genius, i've had both experiences lol...keep up the great poker cat. | |

| | | | Nice call there. I dont I could have made it. On a side note he could be pushing a small ace there or maybe along the lines of KQ or KJ. | |

| | | | This was actually a 100$ buy in or higher i believe. I dont play small stakes or freerolls. This is the kind of situation where my instincts will sometimes kick in and i just know what somebody is holding. I scare my self sometimes(lol), ive done it before with a board of K37, then turn was 8, the guy checked to me i bet a feeler bet he raised me, i reraised he calls real quick, and the river brought another K, putting KK378 on the board, he fired all in on river, i had QT , no pair nodraw, i told the guy for some reason i can smell u have 9T, i called him with Q high and he flipped over the 9T, i dont know how to explain it but i just know sometimes. | |
