Recently I Sent several letters to Congressmen and Senators and such (part of a mass Emailing associated with the PPA-( Poker Players Alliance )and recieved this reply from Represenative Mike Pence 6th District Indiana
Dear Ron:
Thank you for contacting me about internet gambling. It was a pleasure to hear from you.
Representative Barney Frank introduced H.R. 2046, the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act in April 2007. It would provide for the licensing of Internet gambling facilities. The bill was referred to the House Financial Services and House Energy and Commerce Committees.
I firmly believe that gambling, in all forms, is a magnet for social ills that have no economic offsets. There is ample evidence to suggest that it destroys families, erodes work ethic, breeds crime and exposes children to another source of addiction. I believe there are simply too many negative impacts associated with Internet gambling. Therefore, I have consistently supported measures to prohibit Internet gambling. Although we may not see eye to eye on this particular issue, I value your perspective and will certainly keep your views in mind should the House consider additional legislation on Internet gambling in the future.
Again, thank you for contacting me. It is an honor to serve in the United States House of Representatives and have the benefit of your advice. If you would like more information on this or any other issue, please visit my website at

Warmest regards,
