A REALLY good laydown would be something like QQ preflop (did it in one of the league games, I believe), or folding a flopped set to a flopped straight (not an obvious one, but on a board of 689 or something).
I never said it was a GREAT lay down. I only responded to the original post which was to "laying a good hand down".

Is there anything you won't pick apart?

I recently played a $1 SNG where Icame third and I had A J oh hearts. I believe I had an average stack of about 2k so I raised it up from early position, 3x BB. Well, everyone folded and a considerably smaller stack went all in. If I called and lost I would've had about 700 chips left (i.e. I wouldve been in really bad shape) but if I won I would've been chip leader. Well I thought about it for about 30seconds and eventually laid it down, thinking it wasnt necasary to risk that many chips on what looked like a coin flip at best. The guy showed AQ.

Can't say this is nearly the best laydown... he had QQ on a low flop, bet the flop and was put to a decision for all of his chips. It's not overly difficult to lay down an overpair when your tourny life is on the line.

He was not at risk for all his chips, he was facing a standard raise.

Numbers aren't exact but close enough:

Doyle had 600,000 chips left.

He bet 200,000 on the flop.

He was facing a minimum raise to 400,000.

He is a professional who knows you can't call there, it's all in or fold thus it was a decision for all of his chips

You have to know when your beat, I have folded many KK after the flop when a A is on the board. I have even folded KK preflop a few times. I havent folded AA preflop yet. I have to ask myself .."do you want to win this tourny or do you just not want to lose?"

In Cat's case villain should have held his nerve and been less greedy to win more.
Hindsight of course.
