Default I will continue on

I did not say that I would leave so that some would ask me to stay. But actually cat, gimme and a few others did ask that.

I just don't feel that one should have to put up with ridicule and have to defend twisted words at every turn.

Now on the other hand, I also believe that a forum should not be all nicey-nicey and agreeing when in fact someone does not believe in the stated fact...controversy is good....fights are even good...as long as they are controlled fights. Jabs are also fine, but lets keep the site civil. I am not putting the blame on only the other members here at the forum...I agree that myself, cat and gimme are to blame as well....and let's not forget daFink either!

Anyway I hope we all can pretend that this never happened...and let the fight begin!

YES, PLEASE STAY ON, BUT DON'T ASSUME YOU CAN SHIT ON PEOPLE AND HAVE THEM SAY "PLEASE SIR, I WANT SOME MORE" we all need different opinions, and we need controversy. We most certainly need expert advice. But nobody needs to be told that they are are stupid, or incapable of learning or understanding proper methods of play. Poker is an unusual animal, as there seems to be very lttle differerance between right and wrong. It is this very concept, that causes us to have amateurs go very deep, and even win the WSOP main event. It is the reason we all strive to claw our way there. literally, on any given day, anyone can win. This cannot be said of any other individual sporting event. You cannot be the worst player in your golf league, and come out and beat Tiger Woods. Doesn;t happen. Not in Golf, or tennis or swimming, or in any individual sport. Poker is different. Poker has a huge element of luck. All we can all hope for, is to understand the mathematical best way to play, the odds, the best starting hands, then facter in the skill of the people at your table, and then take your best shot. Sometimes it works, most times it does not. Many pro's would go deep every year, and every WPT event, if poker was fair. Alas, it is not., 1st time players can take out seasoned Pro's. Sad part is, they don;t even know how lucky they got. No clue. ATC any two cards, especially if they are high, or suited, or hi and suited, and the average Joe thinks he is playing a gold mine, and then it hits, and he is estatic! But, it keeps the fish in the game, and it keeps the good players hopeful of scoring on the fish. All of this is why we get into such heated arguments. We all strive to be better players, or we wouldn;t spend so much time in a forum. We all want to think we are good players. Everyone likes to be lucky, but no one who strives to be great, wants to assume that luck is playing a big role. All we can all hope for, is too learn from each other, play the best we know how, and, unfortunately. we need to hope for good luck. Because, unlike other sports I have competed in, training hard, being ready, and truly knowing the game, is quite simply, not enough.
