Default Favorite Starting Hand

What is your favorite starting hand and Pocket Aces don't count. Lately I like 99 especially on Stars because another will usually come up. Any one else notice that with the 9's? I normally like AK as my favorite starting hand though.

33 and Q9 - they both give me monster flops when I can get in cheap, and I can usually win a HUGE pot when they do hit. If they miss...oh well, I lost a blind.

I never win with K's at stars, A rag calls no matter what I bet, and the A always hits the turn or river. I am 1 for 10 this week with K's. I like A K suited best , if I can't pick A's.

Th8h

Not really sure why hearts but T8s is a very deceptive hand. Generally I'd like to get is late position cheap. If there's already a couple of people in the pot I might even call a standard raise. At that point it's even more disguised and no one will put you on T8. Any straight you catch will get paid off. Also, when a hand is raised preflop, their face cards are only going to hit as often as the T8 so often when the flop comes all rags you can take it down right there.

Obviously not textbook but I think the books tend to miss the "implied odds" of getting paid off with relative rags like these.

My favourite hand is 7c 4h. Won my first tourney for $500 with it. Flopped a full house. I also believe this was the winning hand for Joe Hachem in 2005.

When I say my "favourite" hand I mean I like it cause it won me some cash, not because its a good starting hand or anything. I don't believe in the whole "favourite hand" thing.
