well im just saying us because first since the bill passed the main site i played on (poker.com) has pretty much dbled its members mostly us players. Now im not having trouble but i liked poker.com because most players i went up against knew the concept of pot odds etc etc and were decent players or were fishes very weak tight players. Now since ive played on poker.com lately ive been ona 50% in the money thing...Which it does not matter just seems to me that ive been very unlucky. Im back to winning consistantly but man was the run terrible..i hated having a three of a kind go up against a flush draw and ppl going all in like they have the nuts...man was it frustrating...but im over it now but im still looking around currently im playing in doyle's room and like i said im in the money..anymore suggestions would be great

The problem is that European players including U.K. play very tight. I call it check and fold. American players like to gamble more and many of them do not follow the check and fold European rules so when the American player improves his hand to win the pot they call us donks. If you have the cajones to play like Hanson, Negreanu, Farha, Estfandiari, and others who believe that any 2 cards can win then you are considered a donkey by Europeans.

i dont think that its about aggression or anything...i honestly think they have no idea what it takes to be a profitable poker player...these donks im speaking of usually get that big pot and when they do i like to stick around just to see them lose it all and bust...they get what they deserve.....but like i said i may have lost money going up against players like that but i win out in the long run...ill welcome them but i just have to recognize them..just caught me by surprise..me and this other player that ive played money games with several times noticed it too...there was evena complaint that us players are losing their bank rolls little by little ever since the bill was passed and that poker.com set it up where the percentages were actually not in a us players favor..this is just a rumor...... there is a statement on their website about it..but i know its due to more members coming in.one

I would be careful about generalizing about "U.S. players" and "U.K." players. Both places are vast empires with a huge variety of human beings in them. I've encountered both solid players and utter turkeys, and everything in between, from every country in the world.

Besides, as I keep telling people, on TV I saw Doyle Brunson go all in with 72o and flop two pair to win. Is he a donk? Don't think so.

When I first started to play at P4E I was just about the only American.... and at that time each area of Europe seemed to have their own style of play. UK fairly tight, French loose and aggressive, Eastern European ATC and so on.

That has changed some what... I call it the American pollution factor Seems we all pickup habits from each other.... bad and good

For the most part Eastern Europeans still play any two cards, the French have tightened up a bit and aren't as aggressive, UK has loosened up a bit and the Danes are still unpredictable

And of course the majority of the Americans think they are at the final table at the WPT.... since they never saw the 6 hours of folding on TV they think every hand should be called

I am still looking for a replacement for Titan.... I loved winning money from the French

I still don't generalize about people based on their nationality. Even if some generalizations make a vague approach to accuracy, it's a slippery slope. It can also kill you when you get busted out by a player whose nationality you've generalized about goes against your expectations. Poker is an individual game. In fact, even the same individual can play in different ways during different tournaments depending on fatigue, concentration level, table composition, position, stack size, hunger or thirst or full bladder, fight with spouse, etc. etc. etc. etc. That's why I don't even keep notes from tournament to tournament. It's best to pay careful attention to the players who are at your table during this tournament right now.
