Default And it starts...

So midnight came and I started my quest. Put my whole $1 at risk at the $0.01/$0.02 NL table on Stars. The first hand I played was pocket jacks. I was in early position and raised to $0.08. One caller and the flop is J9J! I ended up $0.27. About 8 hands later I get AK...I raise to $0.08 and one caller again. I win the hand and all of a sudden my bankroll has grown 48%!

I was getting tired, so I decided to stop.

Current bankroll: $1.48

OK, so the challenge is on. Good luck to all!

I've been away for awhile so forgive me if these have been answered....

1. Why can't we use freerolls as part of our bankroll enhancement strategy???

2. Is this the official reporting thread or are we going to have a new one created?

Bankroll Management Challenge Report #1 (The Zombills):

My first session was truly unexciting and uninspiring. I utilized $1 on Pstars and played $.01/.02 NLHE. My first hand was a K7s on the BB and I got to check it. 2 spades flopped (all rags) so I decided to bet out and try to take it down. Two callers. Rag on turn so I made large bet with one caller. Rag on river so I gave up--figured he was holding 3rd pair or something.

Oh well...in essence, I'm now starting with only 66 cents, but I'll try and grind it out.

Unfortunately, I'm card dead and it really sucks. Down to around 50 cents and I get AK with 1 raiser and 1 caller. I re-raise big and get one caller. Luckily, an Ace flops and I go all in and he calls. I win and am now at $1.05.

Card dead again for another hour and end up at $ .90.

Hmmmm...this is going to be a long, tedious run.

1st session I played ended up being down 50 cents. Started my next session with 50 cents and worked my way to 69 cents when I got dealt pocket aces and ended up going all in against pocket 10's. Aces held up, played a little longer left the table with 1.21 so I'm up 21 cents so far.

First session for me was a little up and down until I hit my groove at the end. Up $0.45 and only stopped because my eyes couldn't take much more.

Because the challenge was to take $1 and build / manage the bankroll. In a freeroll, you have no money at stake, so there is no influence on your bankroll.

Or, if you don't like that answer, how about this one...'cause I said so!

This is it...unless fonz thinks it needs to be in a different one.
