Quick update on my progress. Bankroll is now at $28.41. Even through the bad beats, I'm keeping to the strict bankroll management rules and it's working very well.
I'm only able to play 5% of my bankroll at a time. So I'm still grinding at the 1/2c tables and buying in for a dollar. When I breach the $30 mark I'll buy in for $1.50.
Haven't been investing too much time in this at the moment, just the odd half hour or so here and there. Each mini session has been profitable playing just solid poker and seeking out tighter 1/2c tables. Now at $35.34.
I'm still only buying in for a dollar as I feel that suck outs are more likely to happen at this level as other players are so much more likely to gamble with second best hands and spike a card on the river.
If anybody is interested I've started a journal on this bankroll project. I've only recently been approved but I've already made a bunch of saved entries that are now online, just ignore the posted dates as they've all been uploaded today.
I wish I had the patience to not gamble, then I'd totally be with you >
I sold 100k playchips on stars for a dollar, got up to 5 and it was gone by the end of the night!
I might start playing $.10 turbos instead of at the .01/.02 T_T
I think the key is too play other games on different accounts that I normally enjoy. I'd go stir crazy at the current levels I'm playing at if I didn't. I'm not too worried on how long this may take. As things hopfully progress I'll end up in games I usually play anyway.

Lmao, people actually pay real money for fake money? incredible...
Wow - I got out of the groove for awhile and forgot about this thread. I loaded and reloaded a few times. I just don't the patience (or tolerance?) for the people who play the micro limits like they are free rolling. It's hard to stay concentrated and play good poker.
I've found, though, that I've had pretty good results in the $1 SNGs on Cake. My Cake account has grown about 25% since I started playing these games.

Table selection makes all the difference. Low player % to the flop tables at micro limits feature players that are generally looking to play reasonable poker. Even at 1/2c ring games this applies.
Loose tables at these levels are full of the core unexperienced players looking to see every flop regardless and then it becomes a lottery where hands like premium pocket pairs and top pair top kickers are very vulnerable. Drawing hands and sets are the only safe hands the play at these tables.
