Bankroll Management Challenge

Well, I certainly found it tedious last night Wb. What a terrible session I had. I enter with around $7.20 made my way to $9 and leave with $5.

2/5c LIMIT table(there's really nothing else I can play at this time - no SnGs low enough)

I hope this post isnt overkill. Here are just my last 50 hands only and believe me it went on much much longer. I limped on some, missed and I did actually raise on a few of these from position just to get in a pot and hopefully change the luck. I think I possibly won 2 hands and blinds only. What do you do?

i know im way late here, but any opposition to me joining in now? i know your all porbably way ahead, but its a personal challenge for me. i wanna see if i can do it. although i do have over 2000 all from a freeroll, does that count?

Rough night 7. I've had some setbacks the past couple of days, too. Seems like every time I try to move up from the $0.01/$0.02 table I get crushed...running into runs of cards like you listed.

What site are you playing on for this?

Sorry for the lack of update on my part guys, I havn't had time to play much poker in general, and when I have...suckouts galore. I believe I have 1 rebuy left should I need it, and right now I have $4.20 after a very good session.

Yeah. Its been tough for me to play much lately, too.

And yes, i'm finding playing $.01/.02 NL ring games EXTREMELY tedious.....especially since I prefer tourneys/SNG's.

But I also find it a challenge, want to learn more about bankroll management, and am feeling stubborn, so i'm keeping at it.

Still stuck at around $1.40 (but haven't had to reload yet!!!)

I will wait one round of blinds. After that, if my hand isn't coming, I will leave.

I don't really think about how many hands I'm willing to play. It depends on time and how tired I am. I do often go on way beyond the tired point when I know I should'nt.

To me it's just a deck of cards. If I've had terrible cards for an hour, I just tend to think that bad luck can't last. It sometimes does though. It's not often I'll leave a table and go to a different one just because I'm getting bad cards. Maybe I should do - psychological boost? I must admit that sometimes during a bad run of cards I'll get distracted and start reading and writing posts in here, or wandering around the web. Good question and I'd be interested in what others have to say.

Oh I'll edit here. I was talking specifically about micro limit tables above . At no limit tables I will leave if I havent or feel I can't play any hands in a few rounds.

Seriously, if I ever fold fifty hands in a row, someone please send the paramedics. I am not conscious. I don't care how many bad starting hands I see in a row, I don't leave if the line-up is good. If I have been paying attention to my opponents, I have a sense of how they play. If I actually think anyone noticed that I haven't played, I can use that info also.

Choosing a table doesn't have to do with the cards, it has to do with the players, including myself. Only if the bad streak is affecting my attitude and I think I will play badly do I leave. If Viking, Zom and Under Dog are there, I ain't ever leaving!

That reminds me...What ever happened to Amy Slider?
