Don't play early in the SNGs?

Ok, so Zom and I were discussing today about how much to play early in a SNG. I believe you can pretty much sit out until the table is down to 4 or 5 players and still be competitive.

I was in one yesterday where I sat out of the first 36 hands. I went back to see what kind of hands I had missed out on. In 36 hands I had 2 pairs. The first time I had QQ. Good thing I didn't play that one -- I would have lost to pocket aces! In the second incident where I had a pocket pair I had 99. That would have lost to JJ. Finally in hand 37, we're down to 4 players and I get JJ in the SB. UTG folds, button smooth calls, and I raise 4x. BB folds and button calls. Flop is Qxx, I bet a feeler bet, he raises all in, and I go into the tank...no way he's got a queen, right? WRONG!!! He had QKo and hit. I play one doggone hand, and bubble out. ARGH!!!!

So....tonight I decide to play a SNG. I'm planning on just sitting out for awhile, and here is the first hand:

We should all learn from the Striped One.
If you're going to sit out early, begin play in the 38th hand.
If you want to play right away, play the first 14 hands and then sit out the next 38. You're a lock.

We can also learn from Boiler.....

Don't make a post for 38 days, and thrash one of your bro's 'til he cries like a baby.
