Default $4.10 to over $30, and then bust

I won $1.10 and $3 from the two most recent cakepoker thf tourneys, and thought I'd play with it (yes I no-showed both these tourneys, been hectic lately!)
Anyway, I was playing NL Ring Holdem with 3 people in the table, players changed but I kept making money, a small bluff seemed enough to bluff people off pots who weren't holding anything and I used this to my advantage. We played 100-200 hands and my chip stack built up, I suffered some losses but was making a strong net gain.
I finally lost out when I guy went all-in on the turn with his chipstack of $44 against mine of $30 with second pair, and I called with top pair.
River gave him triplets...
I know I should put this down to bad luck - but how annoying I was doing so well!
Anyway I was pleased with myself for playing $4.10 up to $30 in about an hour, and I didn't put a cent in!

Wink

I here ya' Ben.....I placed 7th in the $250 Dep FR and cashed $12 and could only play the 1st 30mins of the tourney through work commitments and likewise didn't sit at all in the $250 standard THF FR and cashed $3......Sat on the 25/50c very early this morning with a couple of THFers at the table (zom and J) with $15 from my winnings and managed to leave after a couple of hours with $70 which put $80 in my account so I cashed out $50 which now puts me quits with Cake and leaves $30 in my account to continue to clear my bonus.

However what I would of done in your situation, rightly or wrongly would have been to leave the table for about 30-60mins when you were on $30ish and then re-sat at the table with the min buy-in, therefore banking a good part of your winnings.

I like sites that continue a table memory (such as Poker.com) so whatever you stand up with...if you return to that table later that day you will have to buy-in with whatever you left the table with if it was above the table min buy-in.....so when a site doesn't have this feature IMO your best of taking full advantage of it.......Bit late now but if you ever manage to increase your B/R 8 fold again at the table, I'd say get off the table, bank it and re-buy with the min a bit later on.

You were indeed! Thanks for making me feel better about my win (well not a win but you know what I mean).

For the first time though I really felt I could make money out of online poker!

As a suggestion (me giving advice???), don't play with your whole bankroll on NL tables

Very sensible! Although it's easy for anybody to say 'you should've stopped playing at $30 dollars'...

Next time I'll remember to do that!
