Default USA Unfriendly sites

It seems that some sites are becoming USA unfriendly due to law changes etc.. This thread will be a list of sites that are currently not dealing with USA citizens please post here any sites that you are having difficulty with. Hopefully this will keep THF members money safe. I am UK based so don't have this trouble post in here any trouble and I will update list.

THIS THREAD WILL ONLY CONTAIN THIS POST AND WILL BE UPDATED AS YOU TELL US WHAT SITES ARE BAD.

SITES THAT USA PLAYER SHOULD BE AWARE OF AND WHY

POKER4EVER - allows withdrawal's to neteller etc... but cant withdraw directly to a usa based bank account.
POKERCHAMPS - USA Japan & China you can no longer use your current account or open a new one. It says closure of accounts and withdrawl of funds will be made as painless as possible

These are the only 2 I have heard of so far also where us U.S citizens are having any problems since the new laws have taken effect. I would very much appreciate it if anyone knows of any others to please post, as I have been very concerned about any poker sites I have any funds in. I most definitely will not make any deposits until things have died down or become more clear what online poker sites our funds are safe for those of us who live in the U.S.
Does anyone else have any new info on this?
Cheryl

B2B POKER EXCLUDES AMERICAN PLAYERS FROM THE NETWORK
All American players will be excluded from all gaming services provided by B2B Poker. The reason for this is the ambiguous legal situation regarding gambling on the Internet in the US, where authorities have taken legal action against certain gaming companies. The decision will come into force on September 1st 2006. For more information read the press release.

Thank you for the post hugebucks.
I am just amazed & seriously concerned that this is really happening. I cannot help but wonder which online poker sites are to follow. I still can hardly believe this is really happening & the implications behind this whole situation. It just seems there should be more we can do for our freedom to play online poker besides write letters to our congressman, which I have done. I feel so helpless with this situation. I wonder just how long we really have left before we really cannot just sit down at our own home computers, in the privacy of our own homes, logon & play a bit of online poker. Amazing this is really happening!

Default New group fighting for our rights.

I have been trying to follow this closely to see what is being done & what
I myself can do to do my part in helping to stop this from happening. I have signed up for the, http://www.pokerplayersalliance.org/ as I am sure many of you have also,
as they are taking a stand against this. I just came across another organization tonight & wanted to see if any of you want to check them out. They seem to be just getting started so I didn't see allot on their site yet but apparently they are working closely with Poker Players Alliance. They are:
http://www.letthepeopleplay.org/aboutus.html
Lets please all join together & do all we can to protect our rights.

I received this yesterday from PKR:

First, let me take this opportunity to thank you for helping make PKR such a huge success. Over 20,000 of you have already signed up and downloaded our software since May and we've been overwhelmed by the positive response to the game. We're glad to see that you're enjoying playing PKR as much as we enjoyed building it.

Today marks our real money launch on PKR. While we're very proud of the game we're delivering to our players and excited about giving them the opportunity to play for real money, we're also disappointed to announce that, we can't offer real money play to our US based players at this time.

No doubt you've been following the news that the Senate may vote on a bill that could ban online gaming in the United States. As a result, we've had some tough decisions to make regarding the launch of real money play on PKR in the US. We've concluded that we have no choice but to postpone our launch for real money in the USA while we wait for the Senate's decision. This should take place in October, meaning that we hope to be able to offer you real money play in 6-8 weeks time.

We realize that this news will be as frustrating to many of you as it is for us. Please accept our apologies. This situation is beyond our control and we hope that it will be a temporary one.

Thankfully we also have some very good news for US players on PKR. To thank you for your patience we're ramping up our freeroll program by adding another $25,000 in prizes in the coming weeks. These will be scheduled during times that best suit US players and will allow you to experience PKR at its very best - on us. Please visit the freeroll tournament schedule where you'll find a complete list of tournaments and times, we're sure you'll find one that suits you.

Good luck and see you at the tables,

Malcolm Graham
CEO, PKR

Shame about PKR because apparently its loaded with fish at the moment due to its 'playstation style' graphics.

I'd never heard of this network so I thought I'd check it out. It has some unique features so it is a shame people on the west side of the pond are not going to be able to try them out.

In games there are two variants on 5 card stud which get support as does a 6 card stud variant.

In betting, as well as the usual, they also field 1/2 pot limit which can be good for those who want to be able to chose their bet levels but feel intimidated by pot or no limit. It may also be better for more social games.

My eyes lit up though when I saw that they field spead limit. Those of you who have seen my posts elsewhere will know I've been looking for this for a more social game (ie, you win, you lose, but going bust happens less). Imagine my dissapointment then, when I found that they had totally emasculated the game by fixing the limits at 1/1/2/3. So preflop and flop is just fixed limit, on the turn you can bet one chip less than at fixed limit or the same as at FL, and on the river you get to bet a whole chip more if you want!! Wow. Big bloody deal. Not surprisingly, I didn't see anyone at these tables. Maybe I'll drop them a polite note!

I'll keep the software for a little while, but I don't think I will be transfering allegance, though I may try the fun money 1/2 pot games just to see what it feels like. And they do have plenty of freerolls.....
