Default Pocket Aces

I rarely win with pocket aces. Even rarer, is me winning versus pocket aces.
It seems to me the aces cloud my better judgement.
Is this true for you?

I always win pocket rockets if I got QQ... I really like the ladies, I think they are about to be my favorite hand! The reason that people often lose with AA, is because they are very likely to be bet on. If you get AA, I guess you never lay them down. That way, eventually, you'll lose with them. The trick is to Lay them down of you see flushes or straights building, etc.

I dont win pocket aces very much ethier in fact if im playin a tourney and i got pocket aces about 9 times out of 10 it will be my last hand. I do know why but whenever i see someone else with pocket aces (even if im not in the hand) they always seem to win. But i almost always lose with them and for that reason i don't like them much. however yesterday i was play in a $1 + 0.20 45 person tourney on pokerstars and it was down to the final 5 and i had about 10K in chips 3rd in chips at the time and i found pocket rockets on the small blind and a guy raised and i moved all in and he called and he had 9's and i won a big pot. I then went on to win the tourney mostly thanks to the Rockets. that was the first time i won with them in as while. But Aces defently cloud my judgement thats the reason why 9 times out of 10 its a tourny killer for me. I almost always over play em and i usually end up losing to a set.

Just whatever you do never slow play AA. No matter how much you think you can suck out of your opponents. It's never a good move, and especially online, it will come back and bite you in the ass.

In home games, I will slow play pocket rockets here and there...basically depending on my position. This is because i know who im playing with, and while some players are looser than others, i kno the bad hand that they will play.
While playing on the internet...I wait until I have a good read on the type of player each person is. Early on, i will raise a good amount preflop - I have no idea what its gonna take to get that 89s out of the hand. Once I know how tight everyone is playing, however, I will slow play aces if i kno its the right play. Yeh every once in a while someone will suck out on you, but for the most part you will get a lot out of the pot.

The key with pocket aces is to raise enough before the flop so players with drawing hands and two over cards that may be suited with fold their hand. You do not want to give any player the chance of drawing a straight or a flush to beat your aces.

The problem with pocket aces is that you'll lose a lot of big pots with them since they're hard to throw away. A board that does improve your hand will scare a lot of people out, since you're holding 2 of the 3 remaining aces and the result is only small wins. Those that do stay will likely be on a draw, and not being aggressive enough (hard to judge in online poker) will lose you a lot of those hands as well.

The thing about aces is that people tend to get scared after the flop and make huge bets. The chances of your opponents actually having the flop help them to get to a point where they can beat you is very slim. If there is only one person left in the pot you might try slow playing your aces or just making a small bet to make it seem as if you tried to steal the blinds.

Personally i think pocket rockets may be the toughest hand to play. If you dont play them right you will find yourself in trouble. Lost 140$ yesterday with them went all in preflop and lost heads up to k8 off.

First off, sorry about a loss like that.
Now, an all in preflop against K8, and you are saying that you played the hand wrong? You got a single call in an all in, you have the best starting hand, and he outdrew you...that's not playing them incorrectly, that's getting unlucky.
