Whatst the strangest hand you've ever seen

The strangest hand that i have ever seen seen happened during a shorthanded NL ring game with blinds of 2-4. This is only one of the many strange things that happened that night. Ill use first names to make it easier. It was 5 am on a wednesday morning and we have all been playing all night. Steve is UTG and limps in, Alex is next aslo limps..i look at Q-10s on the button, i limp in...Jeff on the SB also limps, gamber Jim makes it 25 on the big blind. Steve folds, Alex calls, I fold. Jeff makes it 100 straight! Jim says, " you tell me what you have and I'll call. Jeff says "AJ suited" Jim calls! Alex thinks about it for awhile and says to steve this is funny and shows his cards to steve and then annouces "im ALL IN" for about 400. Jeff imeadatly moves in for 700 and Gambler JIm calls. Its an 1800 pot! Jim flips AJd ALex flips AJh and Jeff flips AJc...the flop comes three spades! they chop! i would have one with q-10s lol....

Last week in a 2-4 limit game in a brick-and-mortar i called UTG with 2-4 offsuit (i was playing tight and was changing gears so NO ONE put me on that) and it was raised behind me (5 people eventually came in) and I called the raise which was re-raised by someone immediately behind me and again I called as did the other 3. I put everyone on high cards and my read was true. The flop came A-7-2 rainbow and BB and I checked and it was button bet who had AJ which I called (good pot odds btw) and it was raised behind me and AJ reraised which I called and the re-raiser called as well--down to 3 players. The turn came a 4 Again I checked and it was raised and AJ re-raised and I called and the raiser called. The river was a 5 and I bet and got both to call and AJ beat me to flipping the cards and when I showed 2-4 I got frowns from the entire table and the other player never showed but was not happy as well. I just smiled raking in the pot and said "I always play 2-4 on a 2-4 table". I ended up getting many tilted calls while playing tight for the next 4 hours and quadrupled my stack

Last weekend I was sitting on cowboys and raised it UTG with it getting 3 bet (limit holdem) and 4 others staying in on my 4 bet preflop. To my satisfaction k-9-6 rainbow came up and I raised sending two people out and getting re-raised and re-re-raised by the remaining two. How does this happen? I flop top set and before I can put the 4th bet in the other two are already reaching for their chips to cap it on the flop. Next card flings me another k! for the cowboy nuts I still get 3 bet on the turn with 4 kings after my raise (I put at least one of them on 9's which I felt had a good reason to raise me back) but it got capped again! The river came an Ace and I knew no one had pocket Aces which would have got me a bad beat jackpot 25% share (I was really praying for a nine to fall) and I figured if somoene put me on Aces I better bet lest I get two checks on the river, it was called and they did show pocket 6's and pocket 9's. Too bad my 5% chance of beating another 4 of a kind for the bad beat jackpot didn't come through, it would have been 25,000.00 before taxes but I'll settle for the pot I won. Fun hand,

that's good stuff, MinneJohnny, because i remember that my KK in an 8-16 live game made me get the bad beat jackpot. Board of AAAJ8 AQ vs KK, I lost the pot, but got $3,000 for the bad beat jackpot...

Ran into another funny situation playing the pot odds this weekend. I was in the SB with 5-7 offsuit in 2-4 limit hold'em and it became a family pot so I called the $1 (8 players besides me) when the BB raised to $4 which was called all around and by the time it came to me there was $34 in the pot so I called the 17 to 1 pot odds for another $2. The flop came 8h-Ad-4s so I check as do the next 4 players and someone bets out $2 which is called to me so I call as well to hit my gutshot winning $44 for my $2 (great odds!) which the BB check raises to $4 which is called around and I call the additional $2 to win $64. The turn comes Jc which I check and this time the BB bets $4 the next guy folds and next guy raises to $8 which is called to me and now there is $110 in the pot so I cold call $8 and the BB re-raises to $12 which is called around and I call again for just $4 (no brainer since the pot odds justified $8 on this previous money). The river comes a 6 and I bet (I should have slow played but playing first I just decided to bet it when I had it) and everyone calls and the last player asks me what do you have? I said, "Well, it ain't crooked" sheepishly then turned my hand over and said "the nuts"

I definitely haven't studied odds or anything like that and am probably wrong here, but aren't odds against you to put in 12 dollars into a pot where you have a 4/47 shot of getting your card on the river? It seems that if the percentage of winning is 9% of the time and you have $20 invested into a total $110 pot. That you would need to win at least 1 out of 4.5 times to break even. Actually I dont even know if this makes sense. Someone please try to decipher this post and see if I'm on the right track.
