Default Anyone else not bet this?

Live table, Greektown Casino, Detroit, MI 1/2NL

I hold $200

Dealt to me: AKo

MP1 goes all in for $36
MP2 calls
I call everyone else folds. Pot is $111

flop comes K37 rainbow

MP2 checks
I bet $30

MP2 goes nuts. "You DO know he's all in right? What a terrible play. You better have a big one."

My respsonse: "It's not a tournament, I know I have him beat right now, why do I want you in the pot too? Call out if you want. It'll cost you $30"

He throws cards across the table and leaves. MP1 shows 34s. My Kings hold up. I leave a few hands later up almost $200 over my $100 buy in. I love live poker. Would ANYONE else not bet that there? I only bet $30 into a pot that was over $100. Wow, he would have been upset if I raised to $100 pre-flop like I was going to do.

Hell yes I bet there. Especially since it's a ring game you are playing. Are you supposed to just let him see free cards and possibly outdraw you? Ridiculous! Congratulations on your winnings.

Like you said, it's not a tourney. You bet it.

Now, I just need to follow my own advice when I'm in ring games.

What was his deal? Why did he freak out like that? I can't imagine why you wouldn't bet at that point. I might not have called to begin with, but after that flop you MUST bet to get that other lunatic out of there.

I agree with the others, its not a tourney, and frankly, even in a tourney I will chase the others out in that situation and protocal be damned. Yes you were absolutely right. He was a nutcase to react that way.
Hell, with AKo, in a live game, I would have reraised to your nutcase in the first place And significantly.

Not called 2-1 odds with AK? I knew the first guy had crap. I put the second guy on middle pp based on his reaction to the $36 raise. And I was going to raise to $100 Alli. Now I wish I had lol

I think you made the right play. Was he pissed that he didn't get to see free cards? What was his deal?

The guy is a dick. I would have done exactly the same. In fact I would have probably bet higher! I think that in a tournament I would do the same aswell, you are obviously ahead and want people to pay if they are going to catch. The guy needs to pick his rattle up and put it back in his pram, and probably get laid once in a while too.
