Doyle played the hand correctly. It's very easy to critique when you see the hole cards. Dario could bet with a straight draw, flush draw, a nine, or a ten as well. Mike could be flatting with a draw as well. Doyle's raise was intended to take the pot. Worst case scenario he has 9 outs twice and needs to dodge the board pairing. Best case and most likely scenario, the raise takes it. He's a gambler, not a nit. I'd do the same thing. A pair and a flush draw on the flop should be played like a monster because it is.
With a raise, you are either ahead and need to fade some cards, they fold weak hands like one pair, they fold a draw that has your flush draw crushed, some other draw, or you have either 9, 11, 12, or 14 outs - with those options a call is a weak play. Not to mention Dario is known for being aggressive and Mike is mostly a nit but can overcall and bluff.
You're either a 2:1 dog or about 50-50. Throw in fold equity and the decision is easy unless you have scared money on the table.
