Default How would you play this?

I was in a live tournament with 5.5k in chips from the Cutoff.

Blinds were 100/200.

I had AJs and I made a raise to 600.

Action is folded to Big blind who makes the call, and has about 7.5k in chips.

FLOP: 55Q rainbow.

I made a continuation bet of 1200

BB raises to 3600.

1. Make the Call
2. Re-raise all in
3. Fold

I chose to live to fight another hand and FOLDED.

Did I play that right or should I have done something different?

make it 500 instead of 600 pre, as played cbetting is fine esp on paired board, but since the pot size is 1300, id make it around 750 instead of 1200...as played id fold since u have no fold equity

I've seen a few pro's use the 2.5x bet a lot now. I guess its a way to minimize the amount of chips you loose. And I did bet to much on the CC. I could have saved my self 500 in chips had I been more conservative.

thanks Oly.

I was in position and been told that you should bet-call from there but when playing out of position I should check-call.

I think I need to add when you don't have squat check call! lol

I agree with Olysports. Make it 2.5x from the cutoff and bet/fold to a raise. The blinds are high, so a 1/2 pot cbet should let you know where you stand.

Incidentally, I find that varying your pfr size from 2.5x to 4.5x (with an emphasis on 2.5x to 3x) really tends to screw with people.

I would have folded as well. It was a nice shot at the pot but dont kill your stack on a bluff. Live to see another hand and hopefully next time you hit it.

thanks guys. I have issues with folding my hands when beat. I never was like that before and don't know what happened to me.

I'll start paying more attention to my pre-flop bet, and post flop especially keeping track of how much is in the pot. Dam online makes it to easy for us. lol

Default right move

i would of folded for sure cause he could of called that raise with ace 5 or king queen or even queen jack unless i had a good read on him and i knew i had him beat is the only way i would of called.
