Default How would you play this

I did badly at a tournament tonight and I'm wondering if I can get some advice.

There are always at least 3 callers before the flop until the blinds get up to 100-200.

We start with about 1500 chips

Until the blinds are 100-200, I'm not going to raise anymore, I'll just call with suited connectors and any pair in good position and in the blinds.

When the tons of calling stops, I'll start raising all in if I have less than 10 times the big blind with my favorite hands:

AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK,AQ,AJ,KQ,KJ.

When I start to get blinded out, I'll start playing A10s, A9s, 10 10, K10s,QJs,QJo

If I keep getting blinded out, I'll go all in with 2 cards that are as good as I can wait for.

If I get over 10 times the big blind, I'll bet normally with value hands and I won't call anything outside of the blinds unless I have a good feeling about it or I pick up some tells.

Of course at the final table as the number of players gets lower, I'll loosen up and position will be important.

Any advice on my strategy?

techically you arent doing anything wrong, but I think i can guess the issue. You are playing a pretty loose free/cheap/or friendly tourny and these guys know your range. IE they KNOW what you are raising with and you dont get paid for the hands you catch.
Here is how to change that.

Early in the tourney, call with wierd cards- doesnt matter. Call a raise ( dont go nuts here and risk your whole stack on 72, but call a raise with 6T, just trust me.

Call it down if you have anythign at all, dont risk too many chips in the process. LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU'RE loose. Advertise the fact that you are willing to gamble. It doenst matter that you really arent. just play a couple hands like that, then tighten right back up.
Generally, after that showing, youll get more action on your good holdings than usual. People like to believe that crap they see- not the good.
There is a whole lot more to read on this subject in the poker god's books. PM if you want more info

They don't know my strategy, they're all just beginners. It's a free tournament at the bar.

Thanks though

I think you answered the reason for your bad turn out. Strategy has little or no effect on beginners. They know not what they do. I play in a bar league with a mix of beginners and good players. You have to adjust to the table you are playing. Of course a prayer to the poker gods doesn't hurt.
