So why don't they stop the game and shuffle when the 4th card out of the deck lands face up on the table? | |

Here is the question, are you ready? Was what Crapshoot did to the dealer at the end of the tourny rude?
C'mon, at least one of you can answer the question... let's hear it | OK you might call it rude...but deservingly rude...my rudeness cost him nothing...but he cost me two raises...now I won the tournament anyway, but it could have just as easly cost me the tournament!

I'll see if I can get his address and you then can send him a tip!

| | | | i agree with the finkster here, you making a scene at the payout was rude, and done with the intention of showing him up in front of people....i have no problem with not tipping, you obviously felt his service didnt warrant a tip
as for cat...you have obviously never worked in ther service profession... dealers provide a service, and are paid a lower wage because they are tipped... federal law says tipped employees are only gaurenteed $2.75 an hour. you want to pass a law that they make $10 an hour, or for good ones $50 an hour??? go ahead, it would be the death of the casino poker room....there is no way a casino is going to pay dealers 300% more without an increase in what is brought in, and a poker room can only make $4 a hand....you can fit a whole lot of slot machines in the same space, and not have to pay anyone. the poker room isnt ther to benefit someone who wants to play poker, they are there for the people who come to play a bit and drop a load in the slots or at the black jack table
now back to you crapshoot, you say a dealer put you on tilt by talking about his play....welldid you think there are 9 others at the table, and maybe they were interested in it, maybe asking questions about if he had dealt out te bad beat or hit it when heplayed?? He is doing his job by talking to the people, a dealer has to be an entertainer as well as a card flicker...speaking with the players puts forward a friendly face and make a player more comfortable, a more comfortable player is more likely to stay and spend more elsewhere... be sides that , if you go on tilt , its no ones fault but your own... tilting is a weakness, its a loss of self control. if you dont like something about the situation you are in, use common sense and get up and move to another table, or take a walk, but if you tilt, you did it to yourself
