Default FullHouse-3 of a kind

Hi!
My first time playing texas hold-em live, was last night.
i play against a really good player with years of experience, so i was really exited about bitting him !
What i didnt expect was the following situation:

My hand

FLOP
:
I raised - he call

next

He check -i reised hard-he call

river

He raised the pot- i call

His hand:

I thought i could win the pot with trhee of a kind, but i never thought he had the full house with a 4

Was my play bad or it makes sence?

Ok the first question is what are the levels? Next was the player in question in the blind? If the levels are low sure it may be a questionable hand for some, but those who play enough live, can read what other players are playing. That being said if this player sees that you play premium hands by raising and you did not do this he may figure he may as well limp in. Now by letting him limp in he is able to catch 2 pr on the flop. He cannot be criticised for this.

Now lets look at it from a blind perspective. If he is in the BB and got to see a free flop and hits 2 pr again he can't be chastized for calling. Another thing to look at is you did all of the betting, except for the river. Now that being said you should have caught something there (unless this was the first hand played) that he may have had some form of hand. That being said though you still would have called I know as a set is very hard to fold. All I can say to you is tough beat there. It has happened to us all at one time or another.

I'm not so much concerned with what the blind levels were - from what it sounds like you both had healthy stacks. Rather, I want to know how big was the table you were playing at - was it full handed? short handed? Heads up?

If it's full handed, you simply got really unlucky, although I'd be concerned with my opponent calling a hard bet with a pair on the board - chances are, he has trips AT LEAST as well, and he could have you outkicked.

If it's short handed, a lot depends on this player's table image, along with yours. He may have limped in simply to see if he could hit a hard flop (or outplay you if he missed, bluff you off the pot).

Heads up is probably the toughest situation here. It's extremely hard to put your opponent on sharing an out with you (in this case, a Queen), much less put him on the full house. A lot depends on reads here, what he knows you bet with, and what you know he knows you bet with.

What I was basically trying to get at about the blinds and such, is the fact that you can't get too upset when someone hits while they are in a blind and you don't raise to get them out. In HU (and I am sure most of us have done this) players tend to play hands they don't normally. With that being said even if he was not in the blind and that is all it was going to cost him to be in the hand and at least see the flop he/she can't be criticised, not saying you did. Just let it roll off your back like Mars said HU is a tougher game to play.

You played wrong, three of a kind is a good hand except 2 cards are on the board.
He 44 22 66 Q4 Q2 Q6 QK QA 35 that are the hands you would lose and when he alway calles you and in the end raises all in you'll probably behind.

Default reraise

Anytime yu get a reraise holding trips, its usually not good.Id have prolly folded in a live game.Id rather play a hand where I dint have any reraises, just one caller.A reraise is a bad clue most of the time, unless its an obvious*have to reraise..as the guy bets his last few chips.

It's just a bad beat...maybe make a small raise pre-flop next time.
