Principal photography is complete, I have a few scenes I would like to re-shoot... But once the film is complete I'm going to be submitting it to festivals and looking for distribution latet this year. So to answer your question I'm not sure when you'll be able to see it in a theater...
However, I may have some test screenings. If you'd like to see it in a test screening format in Los Angeles later this summer please drop me an e-mail at:
mj@silverlakecardclub.com and I'll add you to the list of screenings for people who play poker.
I'm going to test in front of non-players and players and try and strike a good median of poker accuracy vs. funny.
As for how much poker the film contains about 8 distinct hands that are looked at in varying degrees of depth in terms of play and odds (some wild card some straight), some poker history, a discussion of tells, and a few other knick knacks, plus extreme close ups of chips and cards for visual interest.
Thanks for the interest!
