Thumbs up Buttons Are Cool But at Home Mostly Useless

In a home game unless you have a designated dealer a button is just for show. It Does add a nice casino feel to a home game at times though. Honestly for a button I think the best i just the plain jane regualtion button. My opinion anyway. Nice decorations you got there though.

Post On The Other Hand

If you have your own card room then yes buttons are ideal you would need them. The button I use when I host tournaments which isnt often is just the plain one. But I have seen them that look pretty nice like the pictures. On thing I would also do would even in a home game would be to make a cut card so that there arnt any accidents with other players seeing the bottom card.

were not in the habit in doing that - something i havent really thought about to be honest
we always burn a card before any cards are dealt - be it to the players or on the table

Post Making a Cut Card

Maybe this should be in another section not sure. But to make a cut card all you have to do is simply take the least usualble card in the deck suck as the rule card and mark it up with a black marker and there you have it. In my mind a must have at all games.
