Background: I'm playing at a guy's flat in Edinburgh, NLHE, blinds are 10p/20p. I buy in for the minimum £15 and by the end of the night have £20 (roughly). The guy who owns the flat wants some sleep so he says: 'right, last hand'.
Im on the big blind, look down at AA.
Action pre-flop:
UTG raises to 70p, fold, Gus min-raises to £1.20, Tom raises to £3.20, Ryan raises
to £7, all before it gets to me. I don't want to be up against 4
other hands, and the only real option for me here is to push, right? So I push for £20 total and UTG calls, Gus calls, Tom folds, Ryan calls. Their stacks respectively were £14, 12 and £18. So after splitting up the side pots, we flip them over.
UTG has AK
Gus has J-10 (he was just in it for the value)
Ryan has QQ
I have AA
Flop: J-K-9
Turn: 8
River: 4
My aces held up, and I take down a £64 pot on the last hand. HEHE. Before I could move, I had a raise, re-raise, re-re-raise and a re-re-re-raise.
