Fonzies Party Poker Challenge

i used to play relgiously at party but recently ive only really been playing at the THF ps games. I need something to encourage me to play more and get my game back in gear

In about 2 months last november/december i made about $600+ from a bankroll of about $30 or so (cant remember the exact amounts). I did this via bonuses at different sites but a vast majority was made at party.

I struggle badly with NL ring games ($10 per flop raises at a $0.15/$0.25 anyone!)

Whilst my tournament play is better than last year my limit game was very very good and i walked away from the table i was at with a profit about 9 times out of ten. I know some of you find limit restrictive but if you have patience its a great game - particularly for clearing bonuses.

Anyways, i was gonna put this in the journal but i decided to put it in the general forum

As of today (September 14th) i have $76.85 there

Im gonna set a realistic aim for myself. My aim is to reach $500+ with this cash. Im not gonna set a deadline as i get busy with my web work etc sometimes and it wouldnt give a good reflection of the challenge

Im gonna do that by playing
* The $0.50/$1 Limit ring games
* The $5+$1 SNGS (yeah i know the blinds go up too much and the reg fee is too high)
* The $10+$1 (after ive built the bankroll up a little)
(Party is great for sngs in my opinion since they fill up so quickly)

Im not gonna restrict myself to these limits however these are definately the areas i have did well in the past so i see no point

I may do it, i may bust out but the main thing i hope i do is improve my game.

Good luck Fonz. I don't think I have any advice to give you, since you probably know what I know. I do play limit ring tables more often than anything else in poker, so if you do need advice/help in that since you are getting back into it, feel free to ask me.

gl fonz, i played on party for about a month and made 200, i found the play there to be very loose, so its very easy to win money on there.

loose can be sometimes but it can also mean players putting in unrealistic raises in relation to the blinds and a third person calling an all in etc

its just like any poker game...you need to adapt to the players at the table

played my first sng (9 players) and won
up to $95.85

i went all in with AJ at the end heads up and the other guy folded. I then got pocket kings and went all in again...he called. Then another all in with JA picked up 1st prize

im not always gonna finish in the money but i think i can always make top 5. A $19 profit here buys another 3 tries at these sngs to finish in the money.

the #1 thing in poker is patience and knowing
when 2fold not tht you didn't know tht
but sometimes playaz get caught up in the game.
