Fonzies Party Poker Challenge

picked myself up from the nightmare of a few days ago

busted out 1 sng (played well...my 3 jacks lost due to him having a 10 kicked and me having a 9 kicker!)

then i won a $5+$1 sng
took a risk and entered a $10+$1 sng...and won it

although its still not for a little money im feeling pretty good about how ive played tonight but probably best to call it quits tonight as its 1am and im knacked....which is usually when i lose money!

ive got about 1300ish - other 3 players are around 2000 each - give or take
blinds just moved up to 50/100. Im on the big blind and raise 200 after getting pocket queens

flop comes 567 - figuring my overpair is strong enough i go all in. He calls

yeah but its gonna take a while at this level.
Ill probably keep at the $5 level just now and then move up once i get to $150 and have a few wins under my belt. Strange thing is every time ive finished in the money ive been first - so far anyways. Twice i busted out early and 3 times i got put out 4th (which is obviously annoying)

Though pokers a war and not a battle and as long as im still moving up in the long run ill be happy.

UPDATE : Picked up a 2nd place win there. Now at $126.35

first sng of the day and i won it

im starting to see that if your patient in these games you can finish in the money most of the time.

Theres a lot of erratic betting and people raising too much - which you can benefit from when you make your hand

it took me a while to settle to the $10+$1 game but im starting to get a feel for them

i finished out of the money 3 in the row (my worst streak so far). I was very tempted to drop back down to the $5+$1 games but i stuck at it and picked up two 2nd place finishes and a first.

I definately think i can continue to make money at this level. If i get up to $350 then ill have to seriously consider having a blast at the $20+$2 tables

this whole venture has been worthwhile though. Its gave me a reason to start playing poker a lot again and i can definately see an improvement in my game already. Sure you can learn a helluva lot from books but nothing beats getting some games under your belts. You can read the same thing over and over but until your in that situation and have won/lost money then its difficult to do what your supposed to do

i like playing SNG's on partypoker cause they arent the smartest ppl they drop like flys befor blinds are 50-100 good luck and try to stay away from the bad beats happens a lot on there:-\
