Spyware on party poker

I have a great setup. My root partition holds all system files, and every non essential file is on a separate partition. Something goes wrong i reformat the system partition without losing a file.

Sweep the file partition once and again to keep it honest. But i tell you, since i have done this i have never had to spend a day salvaging my files with special software. The only thing that has gone wrong with this setup is that I duel booted windows with linux and they fought each other. I recovered the files by making my primary a data slave and all deleted files were found with a special reader (best creation made by man) its a lot of fun to do to friends computers. But thats a different story.

One other thing about spyware to note, If poker comes up as a popup, all you can determine is that you goto poker sites. You can not say that a poker site has infected you. Because infections note things you like by spying on where you go, then advertise what they see you looking at.

So if you are getting those 'bad' pop ups then shame on you lol. Of course it is possible you didnt go to those sites, but most of the time...

wow i downloaded sweeper and it found 41 things after i had alread scan and fixed about 50 problems using spyware doctor and search and destroy. sweeper not only found spy ware buy also this anoying trojan and hacks that were on my computer. wow that is awsome. i did redownload partypoker and did not find any thing about spyware but i am still just a bit fishy. one more thing that i'm little confused about is in internet explorer under tools there is a partypoker.com link. why and how did this get here and how would i go about geting rid of it not that its bothering me that much i dont use internet explorer much any way. but that is just one of the reasons i still am skeptical about it having some sort of advertsing material.

no problem mate - as i said, i had a lot of problems with all that kind of stuff before which is why i looked into it so much

with regards to party being on your computer - this looks like something a spysite might do. They would hijack your internet explorer (which by the way is the easier browser for hackers to get into - use opera or mozilla instead) and add their party button - i bet you that the party icon has some guys affiliate code in it. If you could find it out you could get that guy in a lot of trouble - well at least get party to look into it

oh and ive said this before but only use internet explorder if you really need to - its probably the worst browser available. Basically, IE is better for certain developers, they make it so that its easier for things to integrate with it....however, this also means the mysearch assholes etc can hijack your browser as well. Ive been using www.opera.com for years and love it - nothing can hijack it (i sometimes use mozilla as well)

yeah i only use explorer for some sites that require it i use mozilla and netscape because thats where my mail is i had so much crap on explorer intell now that i realy just wanted to get rid of it but i couldent do it. i'm not too computer shabby any more dident keep up after switching from 98 to xp. but yeah explore is horrible and i dont like to use it.

oh yeah and please never make pop ups for this site. from the sound of it you wouldent do that but that would completly take away from this.
