Possible unethical business practice by Paradise I haven't played Paradise in years, but, yesterday, I received a promo email from them. I clicked on the link to be removed from their mailing list. Today, I received another promo email from Paradise and clicked on the link again.
Their link takes you to a third-party page that says: "Are you sure?" blah blah blah, and then you click another link that takes you to a page that says "Unsubscribed." I have now done this twice.
It could be that their system is slow to update, or it could be that the third-party promo company is using the "unsubscribe" link to verify valid email addresses rather than unsubscribe, so that they can continue to send promo material or even sell email lists. I don't know either of those for a fact, and was wondering if anyone does. As far as I'm concerned, if Paradise's agent is doing it, Paradise might as well be doing it.
