Is it just me or......

I started playing online at Paridise and it seemed that there were consistant bad beats and amazing catches on the river at a much higher rate than in live games.

Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? (Now I play at Poker Stars which seems more consistant. Or it could just be I've been playing longer now.)

i think the problem with any online site is that you will come across the players that live by the river on more ocassions than in live games...i haven't played paradise poker but i doubt i'll be going there anytime soon if bad beats are at a high rate...i do like pokerstars as well as pokerchamps..if you havent checked pokerchamps out give it a shot..goodluck and may all your pots be monsters

Trust me its not just you. Me and my friend played at Party Poker, and we were talking about how many bad beats we've had on that site. It was way more than we would have had if we had played a live game. I wouldn't get too discouraged by the higher amounts of bad beats you get online, at least feel good that you made the right play, just got unlucky.

actually I think that paradise is one of the better sites when it comes to the shuffling system also I find that the players on paradise are a little weaker than those on pokerstars and partypoker at least in the higher money limit tables I only put 50 bucks on paradise but I cashed out 500 starting at 20+2 nl holdem sit and go then going to pl omaha hi 100 max tables I enjoyed the site though it crashes alot and the interface could be better

i think pokerstars is a more fair website

i mean ive never played paradise but more people also say they like poker start the best

Pokerstars in my opinion is probably the best site out there and is very organized in their tournaments and tables. I had tried Absolute and the site had consistently had either bad beats or problems with their server.

Pokerstars is the best...Paradise POker is really bad!

I like paradise poker and think that it is a very good site. The only problem is they are always needing to restart their system and they stop all games to do it. This can take up to 10 minutes
