| | | | I always like to have two shots at a low hand... my favorite hilo hand is AA23 double suited, since a lot of times you see the A2 in your hand and think you're set for the lo pot... then end up getting screwed by a two on the flop, turn, or river that ruins your lo. It's nice to have that 3 as backup, and your competitors generally won't expect it. | |

| | | | Thank you both for your input, I would usually love playing ace 2 and two other high cards double suited, I just wanted to see if there was any other high starting cards. | |

| | | | unwritten was on point-AA23, doublesuited is the best starting hand for H/L (statistically). I, personally like any hand where I have 3 or more cards to the wheel also. A wrap hand, doublesuited is powerful too. Ex-7s8s9h10h. As far as high only hands, there's debate over the best starting hand. Some say AAKK doublesuited (of course), but none other than TJ Cloutier prefers AAKQ doublesuited, because of the extra straight possibility.

| | | | I like Ace , King suited with King , Deuce suited. or Ace , Deuce , King , Queen doublesuited. Works for me. I don't seem to do well with 2 aces in my hand though but many people lke that. | |

| | | | As far as I'm concerned, the best hand I made at Omaha was with 10h Js Qs Kh double suited where I made that Royal flush when the board was Qh Jh 2s 2d Ah. But that happened once, and I doubt it wil ever happen again. My prefered starting hand at Omaha Hi/Lo would be AA23 double suited as I get a good chance for Hi pot with my Aces, Lo Pot with A - 2 or 3, a chance at the flush and a chance at the straight. I guess it must be the best starting hand at Omaha Hi/Lo... At least, it is the best I know. | |

| | | | For hi/low I like hands like AK23 or like AA2K. A2 is a great hand for low that I usually play. Pairs are good too, double suited is also key. Just dont play too many hands, its so easy to do. | |

78910 in Omaha8ob? I hope everyone at the tables I play at would play those hands against me. Those cards are for suckers. Oh and I think that TJ prefers AAJ10 over AAKK in Omaha HI. The J 10 gives the best shot at str8's.
Other than that I suggest that anyone interested in learning quality starting hands go check out the Hutchinson point system. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
