Default stud - worth a call?

6-handed stud question?

Me: (99)8
Player A - bring-in: (xx)8
Player B - (xx)9
Player C - (xx)k
Player D - (xx)A
Player E - (xx)9

Player A brings in the bet, B folds, C and D both call and E folds. Seeing as my 9's are dead is this even worth a call right here?

I think you have to fold in that situation. The best you can hope for is runner, runner 8's (if there are two left) or hope to run the table for a low, in each case you seem to be drawing against a better hand already made.

why did player A bring it in with a 9? shouldn't you or player E have brought it in with your 8's being the lowest card?

Sorry apod the bring in was also an 8. Lower suit. This hand didn't happen. It is a theoretical question.

Default Play an 867 to start?

If u r playing in a tournament do u think if u r middle of the pack in ranking do u play an 867 none suited? I like to fold the hand because it is a bad low
