LOVE PINEAPPLE! There's two versions of Pineapple: Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple. You start out with 3 cards. Pineapple you bet, pre-flop like hold'em then after the round of betting, you discard one card. Then Hold'em rules apply after. Crazy Pineapple, Pre-flop bet... Then the flop comes... another round of betting THEN you discard one card, after that Hold'em rules apply.

IT sounds pretty cool but I don't think it is as effective as Texas because of all the complexities

We mix in pineapple in some of your home games but one rules question always comes up..

Normally you discard a card after the flop but what if you have an all-in PREFLOP? Do you flip all the cards and discard one after the flop still or do you have to discard before you flip the cards?

If there is an ALL-IN PREFLOP, and there is no more action, the cards stay face down until the discard phase.

Blackstone: I think you might be mistaken. I know there is a variation that Pineapple discards before the flop. I've always played it that the discard was after the flop. I'm pretty sure that Pineapple is played high only, and Crazy Pineapple is Hi/Lo with an 8-or better qualifier like Omaha.

If you World Championship of Poker on PS2, you can play in pineapple sit and go's.. and it's a really interesting game. It's very similar to HOld em but when you get bored it's a good game to play.

I have played pineapple, but havent figured out whats best. Is it better to keep stuff like open ended straight draws and flush draws after the flop and throw a top pair. Or keep that pair with another?
