Default WSOP and the popularity of other games

Does anyone believe that games such as Stud or Lowball will increase with popularity once ESPN shows the final table of these WSOP events? I would love to see the popularity of these games grow especially if the WPT gets involved and starts showing new events.

Razz is simply, 7 card stud lowball, simply the player with the 5 lowest cards in his hand wins, for example (A,2,3,4,5) which is also called the wheel is the best hand and can only be tied. the A is considered the lowest card in this game, much like in hi/lo games its the lowest, in your low,

I personally, don't care for 7 card stud, I would like to see the omaha take off though, as it is one of my better games, I Love the concept of omaha, but much like stud, it doesn't have the hook line and sinker like the holdem, in the fact that it is SIMPLE, and thats what poeple want, they want to be able to play, another selling point of the holdem, is the no limit concept.

I was playing stud long before holdem got popularized by ESPN. It doesnt get the recognition it deserves. I believe it does not get the air time like holdem because it lacks poker mystique or element of surprise. Omaha on the other hand has these qualities but not with the same intensity. Omaha will get more air time, but stud you probably see it only a few times more likely in a razz tourny.

Why do you feel that these other games don't require skill? They are like any other form of poker. You need good discipline, proper strategy and of course timely luck.
