Default Triple Lowball

I just started to play this game with my friends and it quickly became a very popular game in Dealer's choice. For those who don't know what this game is I'll explain.

It's 5 card draw right off the bat. But the goal is to have the WORST 5 card hand possible. so the nuts would be 23457. A's are always high (So unlike in alot of hi-lo games A2345 is not a low) and Str8's and flushes count against you (23456 is a str8 so someone with 999QA would beat you)

Well theres a preflop bet first. Then you draw, which is followed by another bet. Then you can decide to draw or "stand pat" (Not take cards) and bet again. Then theres a final round of drawing and betting. The game really should be played limit or pot limit in order to get more people to play their hands. You can also draw as many cards as you want.

I'm sure if you try this game out you'll realize how hard it can be. I found out about this game thru Daniel Negraneau's articles. What really surprised me was that he stated that in the Bellagio theres usually a hi-stakes dealer choice table, and this game is picked alot.

I would like to second the recommendation for 2-7 Lowball triple draw. Anyone that is really interested in learning this game should also read (if they haven't already) the section in Brunson's Super System 1. While it appears to be a total luck game, it does take a lot of skill to actually be a consistent winner at lowball. For a twist, try it No Limit! Does anyone know of any online sites besides UltimateBet that spread this game?

TD lowball is my favorite game. It is a nice change of pace from the zombie like state that I get into when I play NL hold'em. You gotta think on this game...and get a little lucky. I have played it live where A-5 was the best hand. All of online play seems to be 2-7 which is still a fun game.

There is nothing like it, having a ten high hand and discarding the ten to get a lower card...and what happens? You get a jack, queen or king...or a pair. I love the game, but have increased my dirty word vocabulary since learning how to play it.

Games Grid have the game, although the tables aren't exactly flowing over with players... I also want to try it out, but I never found a Free Chips-table that have any players on it.
