Noble Poker Withdrawel Policy - Do you think this is fair?

I had $650 sitting in my noble poker account. Im not planning on playing there so i decided to withdraw to my neteller account

I checked a few days ago and it wasnt on my neteller...it was back on my account.

Ive got accounts at dozens of poker sites. I usually sign up via my hotmail so i get loads of spam type emails every week from poker companies...though im still reluctant to block them and put them in the spam folder incase important emails get missed.

So i must have deleted their email about it...which isnt too surprising as the title of the email was the less than informative "Message from Noble Poker"

So i withdrew again and looked out for an email from them

This is clearly an automatic email which is sent when someone with a bonus still to clear tries to withdrawel. Im sure the same happens at all ipoker network sites...eg titan poker.

I think this is an absolutely awful policy. It was a fairly large withdrawel and i dont think they have any right to delay this withdrawel.

I understand that they want to retain players and that some people might withdraw forgetting they had a bonus to clear. However, surely the fairest way is to send an email saying that they have 24 hours or whatever to cancel the withdrawel and retain the bonus privaleges.

To just stop the actual withdrawel going through is bs in my opinion.

It's funny you bring that up. I just deposited on Poker time because someone here said they are giving each new account $10. They said there were no qualifications per say. Once you deposited the $10 would be added to your account. Well, when I signed up it asked me if I wanted the $10 bonus added to my account or not. I thought that was a pretty silly question. "Of Course" I want the $10. It also stated If I wanted the $10 taken off my account to contact customer service. It made me wonder why they asked that. After reading your email I now know why. The $10 from poker time is not risk free. There are a % of raked hands that you need to clear and such.

Call me stupid but I never took advantage of any of the bonus' the sites have to offer as I only play sng's and MTT's. No ring games. I dont play all that much maybe 2-3 times a week and it seems like it would take forever for me to clear a bonus that way. And some bonus' require you to reach the goal in a specific amount of time. Add on the fact that I sometimes transfer my money from site to site depending on what each site is offering for games or if a THF game is going on a particular site. Am I stupid for not trying to cash in on these bonus'?

Finally, Your email said you need to paly in 300 raked hands. Couldnt you just go to a .01-.02 table and fold for 300 hands? Blinds would only cost you about $2-$3 if you folded everyhand for 300 hands. Or does that not count?

you can make very good money with bonuses....absolute and party have very good bonuses. As you say however, most sites restrict it to ring games and not sngs

every bonus offer has terms and conditions. I still think the $10 offer pokertime was offering is good for people just starting out. They dont just give money away - they are a business after all

Playing at most thf games is similar to bonuses in a way....ie. the +$100 games or the recent poker.com +$250 game. I used to play limit a lot to clear bonuses.....the worst i did was break even (apart from interpoker!) and then i got a $100+ bonus. At inter the limit was too high for my bankroll and i played poorly because of it...so after the bonus i was only $10 or so up.

with regards to noble, i never wanted the bonus...i had deposited to fund some THF and FF games we were having.

This is the main reason I never deposit money to a poker site that isn't one of the "major players" By that I mean Poker Stars, UB, Pokerroom, Absolute, Party and Royal Vegas. The places that have been around for years and are well established are the ones that do not have to resort to such underhanded slimy tactics to get players to play.

I have heard bad stories about Noble Poker and CD poker as well and with this latest one, I think I'll continue to stick with the "major" sites.

Like I said in the earlier thread dealing with CD Poker it seems like these sites have turned their email and telephone support over to a company out of house and as a result their customer service has went way down hill. You would be amazed at how much better help you can get if and when you can find the in softare support button active at CD Poker. The folks at the actual site are very helpful and have always been able to help me immediately with anything I needed. The only problem has been as of late its almost impossible to catch the in software support button active and the people available via telephone and email leave much to be desired.

On a happier note though I did come in 8th in the monthly CD Poker Tour $2000 winners freeroll that I had qualified by being in the top ten of one of the weeklys in November and won $60 to replenish my CD bankroll after I cashed out there over my frustration with them. Of course I am still having to wait the 21 days it takes them to mail you a check for my cash out if you make the mistake of depositing using your debit card instead of your neteller but thats another problem I have with them and yet another story.
