Heh, sorry for the misleading title, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and seemed an offbeat way of getting peoples attention. Hello.
Ive just started playing online again. Im a casual player, play for the fun not the money, think I started playing in 2001 found a small(at the time) site called pokerroom.com, I think it was probably the channel4 (UK) program called Late Night Poker that introduced me to the game and got me hooked, after that I basically played a few online sites, settling with UltimateBet for a while. I also started a small school with a few friends, small stakes, the occasional game of Texas Holdem now and then, seemed a great way to pass time at the weekend, and slightly profitable at first (since I was essentially teaching them the game, although I did invest the winnings into a set of chips).
I dont know, the more the game became mainstream, or at least more public the less interested Ive got, I still like playing but it seems to have dropped off a bit. Then I stumbled accross this site, and Ive got to say guys its pretty cool, and its helped to rekindle my interest in the game, so thanks for that (or maybe later when Im broke and a compulsive gambler I'll retract that
)
Ive started playing again on pokerstars, mainly because of the tourneys, or more often than not the freerolls, so I hope to see some of you around on the tables, and remember if you're going to have a bad beat, make it a good one.
