Default Did I play this correctly?

I accidently entered a Pot Limit Omaha satellite tourney for the WCOOP on PokerStars. It was an $11 Rebuy, and I thought it was a NLHE tourney when I registered. I guess I have to pay more attention. Well, I almost never play omaha, and almost never play pot limit, so that combination makes for one confusing tournament. Well, this hand knocked me out of the tourney, and I just want to know from the more expreienced omaha players if I played this right.

PokerStars Game #2164932200: Tournament #10187240, Omaha Pot Limit - Level III (25/50) - 2005/07/22 - 23:27:34 (ET)

I hit top set on the flop, with no flush or straight draws, though there were two cards to each. The turn of 8h did give three cards to a straight, but I didn't think anyone caught it there. Then the river put three cards to the nuts straight, so now I figure I'm beat, but I am already all-in. First of all, is this considered a bad beat for omaha, or just the typical scenario of someone chasing a good draw and hitting. Second, did I bet it well. Should I have raised the pot on the flop, though it was a fairly large raise to begin with. I think I could have put in 275 more to be the max. Was that the correct bet on the turn? I was trying to get the other two to fold because I pretty much knew they were drawing, even though only one was, I have no clue what the Mick guy was doing. Thanks for the advice.

you did nothing wrong, but its omaha, get your money in with the best hand and hope it holds, the problem was you didnt have alot of chips and an allin with that many outs out there is most likely going to get called, but you played it right, just unlucky, omaha gives me a headache

I didn't see anything wrong with it, but I'm not an avid omaha player by any means. Looks good to me.

Sadly trips are not usually a winning hand in omaha. I have suffered many time from over playing trips. Especialy when there is a chance that a flush or straight draw is our there. It just seems that draws like that happen all the time. Except when I need them. LOL

Omaha is just one crazy game if you ask me. I thought chasers were bad at Holdem. Until I saw what people will chase with at Omaha.

That's poker for you.

You played it all wrong kikolo...when you saw that you entered the wrong tournament, you should have stopped playing the game and contacted support and explain your mistake...if you are a valued customer of PS, which you probably are, they would have refunded your money...that happened to me and I got my money back.

I am not a big Omaha player but what Poker Money King said is correct...tripps are not a good hand in Omaha...probably equal to middle pair in Hold'em.

You should have gone all in after the flop I belive. That maybe would have changed his mind but I doubt it. He's a chaser. I think it was a good all in

I couldn't go all-in, it was pot limit and the pot wasn't large enough yet. I could have bet about 200 more, which I guess I should have.

Can you do this after the tournament has started? I don't believe so. I registered for it with 3 minutes left, thinking it was holdem. Then I was seated, still thinking holdem. I only realized it was omaha when the first hand was dealt. I was like "What the heck!!! Why do I have 4 cards?" lol.
