How would have have played these 2 hands. I am trying to fill leaks and my game. One of them is being overly paranoid of getting out drawn.
Here are 2 hands I played at UB. I would like to know how you would have played them. I will explain my thinking along the way. Feel free to correct me if you think I should have done something else.
AK suited seems to be my hand. I have been using Poker Tracker and have tracked the 441 hands up until these 2 hands. I missed 2 or 3 sessions. Forgot to save the hand history on those.
Any way, I have, including this hand, played 450 hands. Well I have had AK suited 5 times. And have won with it 100% of the time. That just astonishes me. Removing the sessions I missed. I Have not been dealt AA once in those 450 hands.
Ok, I got a bit side tracked. On to the hand.
Beorc posts the small blind of $.01.
DBSHARK posts the big blind of $.01.
De Morgan posts out of turn for $.01.

Pre-flop:
Emmittttt calls. MagMotor folds. 6spd320hp calls.
Acey Ducey calls. SanWise folds. De Morgan checks.
Jaginfla folds. TexasHoldem9 raises to $.02.
(Ok. I raise here. Preflop I know this is a good play most of the time. I am however worried when after 2 calls and my raise three more people call.)
Beorc calls. DBSHARK calls. Emmittttt calls. 6spd320hp
calls. Acey Ducey folds. De Morgan folds.
Flop (board: Jc Ah 6d):
Beorc checks. DBSHARK checks. Emmittttt bets $.01.
6spd320hp calls. TexasHoldem9 raises to $.02.
(I raise here to push out potential KQs looking to draw for a straight. I worry a little less.)
Beorc calls. DBSHARK folds. Emmittttt calls.
6spd320hp calls.
Turn (board: Jc Ah 6d Qc):
(this is where I get worried again. There are still 4 people in the hand. Did someone stay with K10 and now they have a straight?)
Beorc checks. Emmittttt checks. 6spd320hp bets
$.02.
(Ok, could this guy have K10 He didn't do anything preflop. What should I do here? I have to find out how serious this bet is. Plus now if there is straight there is also a draw for a flush out there. What if there is another AK suited and it is clubs? I determine I have to bet to find out what I may be up against. And to push on that draw if it is out there.)
TexasHoldem9 raises to $.04. Beorc calls.
Emmittttt folds. 6spd320hp calls.
(Ok, He just calls. Maybe things are not so bad. Maybe he does have AK and I tie. That would suck. But, it is better than losing.)
River (board: Jc Ah 6d Qc 2d):
(Ok. No flush but still a sneaky person with a straight is out there possible. This is where things get tough. Do I check here and hope to maybe only lose what I am in so far. Or, do Ibget. I opt to bet at it.)
Beorc checks. 6spd320hp checks. TexasHoldem9 bets
$.02. Beorc folds. 6spd320hp calls.
Showdown:
TexasHoldem9 shows Ks As.
TexasHoldem9 has Ks As Jc Ah Qc: a pair of aces.
6spd320hp mucks cards.
(6spd320hp has Kh Qd.)
(I win. But, I am not all that pleased. It seems like I am always one card away from being beat or the board shows that I am possibly beat. And, as you can see 6spd was on a drawing hand with a bet and a raise in front of him with only 3 cards to a straight and no possible flush. With that kind of betting going on I would be assuming my KQ suited was beat. Would you have continued here when you only real hand might be a straight draw? I mean I would be thinking someone has Trip As at this point if I was in his shoes. And trip kings are no good for him if he gets them. Just the straight. Maybe I am just to paranoid. The worst part is this is what I face everyday. In one sense it is good because I won this hand. But, when there are 3, 4 or maybe even more players, that draw starts looking very likely. And I usually go down in flames.)
Hand #6817874-9250 Summary:
No rake is taken for this hand.
TexasHoldem9 wins $.36 with a pair of aces.
So the question here is how would you played this different. Or, would you have played it the way I did? Either way, please explain why.
Thanks.
Ok, One more hand for you to examine. I will try to be more brief on this one.

(I almost think about semi bluffing here. What are your thoughts on it? Is semibluffing a wasted bet here? Or, do I really need to make this bet because I need to find out if someone hit the flop and to push out the Diamond draws. Well, we know how hard it is to push draws out at this level even when they stay having only 3 cards to a flush or straight. So, maybe just for the sake of getting info should I bet here? Well, I decide to check. Maybe a week play on my part.)
TexasHoldem9 checks. Beorc checks.
Turn (board: Ad 9h Td 7h):
(Just great. Now I am against a possible straight draw, possible J8 or 86 Straight and 2 flush draws. And believe me, at this level that is always a likelyhood).
Acey Ducey checks. SanWise checks. De Morgan
checks.
(I think for a second and make the bet because I still need info here.)
TexasHoldem9 bets $.02.
Beorc raises to $.04.
(Just great. Now I am now I am kicking myself for not betting the flop. I was after giving a freecard to anyone on a draw and Beorc might just have it now. I decide to call here to be safe.)

folds. TexasHoldem9 calls.
River (board: Ad 9h Td 7h Qd):
(Sigh, I can't believe my luck I get the Straight draw only to be facing a possible flush now. Why can't I ever just get a hand I can be confident with. Ok, I do. But it is a rare occasion that I am 100% sure I can't lose. I am lucky if 25% of the hands I win I can be 100% sure of. Probably even less than that. Maybe only 1 in 20 I feel 100% sure I will win. I opt to check here. The last think I want is a reraise. If someone bets I will take my medicine and call.)
Acey Ducey checks. TexasHoldem9 checks. Beorc

Acey Ducey has Ah Th Ad Td Qd: two pair, aces and tens.

Hand #6817874-9254 Summary:
No rake is taken for this hand.
TexasHoldem9 wins $.22 with straight, ace high.
(Even though I won I feel blindsided. I didn't read either of these other players hands right at all. Acey was either playing way to passive of trying to trap me. If I had missed at the river I would have lost a sizable pot. I am not very good at figuring the odds out on the fly. Should I have even been in that hand after the flop???? If not. When should I have folded? If I had the odds to stay in this hand did I bet right or should I have done things differently?)
Like I said. I am trying to fix leaks in my game at this level where they can't do my much damage yet.
I could use all the input you all can give me. |
