I run into the suited conector players all the time.....but all in he calls? What an idiot to risk his buy in on 24 suited!!!
Not something I would do.But every one has their own way of playing I guess.
Too bad it cost you.

THF Player of the Year
I love that call, sometimes I do the same thing. Not only because low suited cards are strong against one opponent, but also to teach some people that a high cards aren't invincible.

And you should always watch out for the low stack. If he doesn't go All In by himself he will call an All In most of the time.

You would also have lost to A10, Q8, KQ, JT or 33. Would that have made you feel better? Next time just don't go All In with AK, just raise 3 times the Big Blind.

HUH????

AK vs 42 is 64% vs 36%....This is strong?..or about 2:1 roughly, yes he was getting a little better than 2 to 1 odds on his money but if he lost he was out of the tournament before the first break. This isnt a ring game. The object is to get your money in when you are the favorite......here he is almost GUARANTEED to be a dog, the only hand he is favored over is 23 and he is the CALLER, not the raisor.. I think you mean to say stronger but I still disagree. You are hardly ever going to win a big pot with small cards vs one opponent. You need to have several players to justify playing these hands so you KNOW you will get paid off if you hit 2 pair or better. This hand was a rare exeption. This was a terrible call by any stretch of the imagination. And this was the best case scenario( almost) for the caller. Had blackstone had an over pair he would have been about a 4 to 1 dog.

You don't surprise me one bit. You call ANYTHING. You will call the rest of your chips with a 24 suited in that case? If so, you are the worst Hold'em player I know. 24 suited? I've play a total out 5 out of 40+ hands in that tournament and I won blinds... you would THINK if I went all in I would have a pretty powerful hand. How you win games with that logic boggles the mind.

2 4 definitley bad call but i think ak is overrated as its the 14th best starting hand but people bet it like its the bestif you bet 3 or 4 times bb and flop comes like that any bet other than minimum after flop he folds
