Default What's going on?

Okay, I know all of you guys are probably sick and tired of hearing my bad beat stories...But I seriously need to know WHAT IS GOING ON? Just a little venting even though when you lose in poker, life is rough and that's poker move on right? But this is driving me insane. Especially in SNG's and Tournys lately, but also on the cash tables I have suffered the worst bad beats and ALL THE TIME. I just cannot seem to win in the past 3-4 days. Now that may not seem like a long time to a lot of you, but I play about 9 hours a day because I'm trying to make poker my job since I am handicapped for the past 4 months due to my motorcycle head on collision with a car(not pretty). So I have nothing to do so a friend got me into poker and I found I was not so bad at it.

I had AKs today and I pre-flop raised (.5/1 limit cash tables). BB calls.
Flop: AK3
I bet, he calls
Turn: 7
I bet, he calls
River: 7
I bet, he calls.

HE TURNED OVER 37o!!!!!! What in the world is going on? That's not even a flush chase, those aren't so bad but this was terrible especially since it was a heads up situation. Here is another one from the tourny I just got put out from. Since he was holding a King, I realize I had little chance of making trips, and I wasn't as large of a favorite had he not been holding one. But I was shellshocked that he would call my pre-flop raise and then proceed to go all-in and he wins. Just a little venting, but it seems like over the course of the past 3-4 days it is impossible for me to win, and I'm stuck like chuck in the $380-450 range and can't get out. Here it is:

My main point is, has anyone ever gone through anything like this where it feels like they just can't win anymore?

Yes , I have and it s a sick feeling.Thats about the only time I will step a way for a while and not play or just play with play money.I have stayed and lost recently .
Best way I can put it is .............................NO CONFIDENCE=NO MONEY
Get rid of that feeling ...play theplay money if you need to play , just wait for the confidence to return before playing for money again.Even then start at a lower level if your bank is lower than you feel comfortable having it..There may be other ways to do it nut thats just what helps me..when I listen to myself that is.Good luck on finding what works for you.

Never sick of hearing your bad beat stories! Makes me feel like im not the only one! Sorry to hear about your crash, hope your ok. "Trying to make poker my job", man, your living the dream! Goodluck, hope your streak ends soon. Seems like you have been playing with some crazy players. Its good to play with fellow THF players in mid week games cause you know there will be no idiots making stupid calls against you like the above.

well I've been playing all day and I've stayed between $385-425 and I started the day at $405. So I haven't really had a swing up or down and I've played a lot. Someone please try to help me evaluate my play.

-I usually call in any position with A-rag suited and drop out unless 2 or 3 of my kind hits the board.
-I do not really play suited conectors at all unless I'm in late position and it's a mid-high range connector like JTs or T9s.
-I pre-flop raise with everything between AA-AJo no matter what. Sometimes I raise with AT if I am in late position and there's only 1 or 2 limpers
-I call KJo if there's a raiser before me or 3+ limpers before me.
-I call QJ, A9o, KTs, QTs, and all PP's 5+ all the time
-I only pre-flop 3 bet when I have AA or KK
-When I do have a premium hand and I pre-flop raise and I'm first to bet or if there are checkers before me post-flop I will bet.

If anyone sees anything wrong with my play please let me know. I do understand this is a game when people use their own strategy but I'm in a real hole and don't know how to get myself out
Also, these stats are from 10 person ring .50/1 games

Here are my stats from today's play:
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 2026 hands and saw flop:
- 129 out of 225 times while in big blind (57%)
- 42 out of 222 times while in small blind (18%)
- 207 out of 1579 times in other positions (13%)
- a total of 378 out of 2026 (18%)
Pots won at showdown - 61 of 114 (53%)
Pots won without showdown - 111
