Default My first online straight flush :) ALMOST royal

Well guys, just wanted to share this with you guys. My first straight flush was right now...for some reason I just had this feeling I would hit it...it was open ended off the flop so it was at least a decent chance. It was almost a royal flush..just missing the Ace too bad. Oh well it will come...Really proud of this heh. Too bad it wasn't a larger pot.

Well I don't know if you knew this, but you gave Bobrow a "bad beat". Even though you had those draws, he had you until the river. I know you always talk about getting beat baddly on the river, as well as everyone else does, including myself, but I don't think many of us think about the people we beat when we chase and hit on the river. I know everyone will say "Who cares about everyone else? I only worry about me." and while that is true, those people we beat feel the same way when it happens to each of us. I guess my point is that even though you ended up with a great hand, you did get lucky and were behind the whole hand.

Could you tell me the exact percentages of our hands after the flop? I would think after the flop it would be near coin toss with me having an open ended straight draw and a flush draw. I know I have at least a 36% chance of winning with a flush draw and add the straight draw, I would think it would be somewhere near a coin toss on the flop maybe with me trailing some. I could be off base, but that's just what I could conclude. Not an expert here. Pre-flop of course AK is a huge favorite over KT I know that much 75% favorite I believe over KTs

Reasons why this is NOT a bad beat:

1)Bobrow limped in preflop with AK. Had he raised it would have been very difficult to call with KT.
2) KTs was a mathematical favorite to win over AK after the flop. It is correct to bet your straight flush draws aggresively, because you will hit them more often than not. Bobrow weakly called with his two overcards and gutshot draw.
3) Bobrow hit the card he was looking for on the turn yet failed to reraise.

Neutraility played the hand as well as possible, but bobrow made a mistake on every betting round. Bobrow created his own beat by not raising preflop with AK.
