Hi - I have had a hard time with pocket A's. I've been losing with them regularly from initial bad betting on my part and from people calling my larger bets with nothing and getting a straight or trips or two lower pair.

So, the other day I got them again and was gun shy. I bet big but on the last bet only bet 150. The last guy in called with 150 and I won. He had pocket J's.

He messaged me - "Why did you just bet $150?" - I said, "because I've been losing with AA lately."

He said - "I'd beat the crap out of you if this was a live game!" -- I was stunned and just wrote - "sore loser" and hoped he'd go away.

I still don't understand it?

With that being said, all you did was slow play them. If it was a strong board them you could have been beat but u were, hey i think it is called, GAMBALING lol. You took and chance thinking your hand was the best and in the end it was. Nice play

Now with what he said, is just horrible play. Never should have even thought of saying that. He was pretty much out of line and needed to be shut up. All it was, was a slow play. Nice hand

Well, here is another tale of the Aces paying off, in an all in fashion.

PokerStars Game #1683683231: Hold'em No Limit ($0.10/$0.25) - 2005/05/12 - 11:58:39 (ET)
Table 'Aenna' Seat #5 is the button
Seat 1: luddemekida ($9.55 in chips)
Seat 2: allinbusted ($6.75 in chips)
Seat 3: 8link ($8.75 in chips)
Seat 4: TETAM ($6.45 in chips)
Seat 5: Bhunter11 ($7.05 in chips)
Seat 6: Uproar2099 ($11.45 in chips)
Uproar2099: posts small blind $0.10
luddemekida: posts big blind $0.25
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to allinbusted [ ]
allinbusted: raises $0.50 to $0.75
8link: folds
TETAM: raises $5.70 to $6.45 and is all-in
Bhunter11: folds
Uproar2099: folds
luddemekida: folds
allinbusted: calls $5.70
*** FLOP *** [ ]
*** TURN *** [ ] [] (of course at this point I am thinking he has spades. because that would be my luck)
*** RIVER *** [ ] []
*** SHOW DOWN ***
allinbusted: shows [ ] (a pair of Aces)
TETAM: shows [ ] (high card King)
allinbusted collected $12.60 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $13.25 | Rake $0.65
Board [6s 8s 3c 5s Qd]
Seat 1: luddemekida (big blind) folded before Flop
Seat 2: allinbusted showed [As Ad] and won ($12.60) with a pair of Aces
Seat 3: 8link folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: TETAM showed [Kh 7h] and lost with high card King
Seat 5: Bhunter11 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: Uproar2099 (small blind) folded before Flop

This guy re-raised all in with K 7 suited. I was stunned.

I guess I am really lucky he didn't have 7 4 off or 7 9 off for that matter. I would have really flew off the handle.

Hmmm

I though when you would get into real money
  1. The players get better
  2. The odds and the cards get better

But from my own experince i can see that doesnt happen. Also from your post i can see that it doesnt get much better

I was just saying after you both went all in and he showed his cards K 7 and with a 568 added with his 7 I would have to close my eyes when that river card came up....
