I have to shove all in here. If Grator has AA or KK, so be it. If he has a random A or K and hits it, so be it. Worst case scenario is that JayC loses 24% of what he bought in for. For me QQ is unfoldable to a shortstack in a cash game. |
Yea I have to agree here, calling to check fold is horrible with the stack sizes. He's pushing any flop, so check calling to a board with no A or K is superior IMO. Gives him a chance to bluff.
In regards to his hand, a very big leak many players at this level have is they make a smallsih re-raise and give away their hand (now if we both have 100 BB stacks this is fine...personally i'd make it $6 or so but the raise is ok...the fact hes soo short is the thing that gives it away IMO) . Now if im in Gators position with AA or KK i just shove. It looks weaker and your gonna get called lighter (because your short). By just re-raising small IMO he says "I dont have AQ or JJ" because both these hands shove here IMO. The smallish raise is to get a call which means AA or KK most likely IMO.
TBH though I dont know, Im just trying to give my logic as to why i folded. If i thought he had AA or KK for definite i wouldn't be posting this thread, I've posted this because It really was a tough spot for me.
Thanks for the advice though guys, will help me in future situations...any other comments feel free...
