Default Tough spot with JJ...

Seemed pretty solid. poker tracker showed him at 20/8 so quite nitty.
We'd played 2 pots together...first was his raise from LP (300/600 blinds)...Short stack moved over the top for a few hundred more...I just called with AQs (maybe should have raised) he called the extra few 100...flop was K 99 and he bet me off on the flop and flipped over 8 9 o

next hand was alot later....he raised from LP again and i shoved with 10 7 o (on a bluff re-steal) and he folded...

After that hes been very quiet....no real reads except from his LP raises...

Good God! You fold! JJ is the worst hand I can possibly think of. Its one of those hands where you either go all in with or just call to see what happens. Any KK QQ or even anything with a A K Q will beat you if they are holding it.

Judging from some of his tendencies in late position I wouldn't put him on AA, KK, or QQ so I'm thinking you are ahead. The fact that he raised enough to put you all in makes me suspicious. Just curious if you had made the money when this hand occured. If my 1:00 A.M. math is correct you are not getting very good pot odds unless he has an under pair but I'm thinking at best you are 60/40 favorite. If you fold this hand I think you have an m of around 5. (Again 1:00 A.M. math with no calculator :/ ) I say make the call.

There's no way you're folding. If you fold you're m is down to six and you have about 6 rounds left before you're all in. It doesnt even matter who your opponent is, Johnny Chan or some random guy of the street, you gotta shove all your chips in here and take a shot. If you fold you'll basically have six rounds left to find a better hand to shove all your chips in with. That's not a very long time and by the time your m is down to 4 you'll be begging for those pocket jacks back. If you lose this all in, you lose but you gotta take a shot right now. If you dont take a shot now, it wont really matter when you do double up cause by the time you find a better hand to double up with, (assuming you win the all in), you'll be right back where you started in this hand.

So without a doubt, do one of those Phil Hellmuth insta calls and hope for the best (Im serious man, all in baby!!!! lol)

If I've added up correctly your M is only around 4 when you fold.

To me it looks like a choice between..

-calling here, when your a big favourite to a range of any Ace, plus any pairs TT's and below.
-folding because you think your chances of making chips(in most cases shoving)
in the hands to follow will make you chips easier than this call.

You had the reads here and you'd know more what his bet meant than we do and that obviously has a bearing on your decision.
Your M is low but compared to the other stacks at this table your 11K or so stack is still enough to significantly damage most of those around you if you do choose to fold and play on.

In most cases I think my choice would be to call here.

those cards are worthless in that situation an he got chips to double up later so thas a easy call (Fold) then again he can gamble an take a shot
but looking at it no need 2gamble yet

look at this play an what would of happened,
but i couldnt' take that shot even though the flush won the hand
JJ is a joke an i'm not lol "lol yes is funnnny"

Thanks for the comments, just wanted to check if my call was bad. I was along the same lines of thinking as Shades and 7, my M is already low and folding in a spot where he could be pushing weak aces and pairs as low as 6 looked -EV to me at the time.

Like Wisak said, his LP raises with knowone to act behind him mean his range is much wider than QQ KK AA....

There were 80 left out of 1,600 starters so I had made the money.

EDIT: oops forgot to add he had KK and they held to bust me

Thats insane that he would reraise so much with that hand it seems like he wanted you to fold....

But preflop I would fold here I dont want to risk my tournament on a hand were their is a decent sized possibility i am dominated in

I think you did the right thing to call tho. As doyle Brunson says, "to win you have to be prepared to gamble" and just for the record, thats got to be one of the very few times KK has held up to win at P stars!! lol
