Default How Could I Have Won More Chips In This Hand?

I thought my opponent used alot of control here and I won a small pot. Considering most players in these SnGs would have pushed harder when flopping a flush. Some input please.

a larger bet on the turn, he might put you on trips but not FH i think...you might even getan all in call ...the river call surprises me...he must have put you on a flush too, if he had you on any other hand the K would have killed him

He was probably playing safe as there are 2 higher flushes that beat him. Also he may have been figuring on letting you do the betting to get him more chips

THF Player of the Year
I honestly think it's a difficult hand to get more chips from.

Dangerous flop but you think you're maybe ahead - bet it and see.

By the turn you know you are ahead. If he has the flush you need a call (or ideally a re-raise) and if he's hit a bit of something or a draw you need to play carefully to get chips.
Previous hands would be a factor of course but unless I put the opponent down as a very poor player who can't resist calling then , I don't see how I would play it much differently than you did here.
I might try an extra 50 or so on the river. However, if he's missed you don't get paid. Giving him 5 or 6 to 1 on the river looks the best option.

You got about the max there! With a 10,8 I was wondering why the opponent was in that long. I know I hate it when I do what you did there.

Trying to sucker out a bigger bet from the opponent. But you have to remember that they are the ones who control their chips.

No matter what you try they control how much they want to lose in a hand.

No matter how much you want to change the above fact, you got live with it the way it is.

Nice win!

I would have checked the flop and hoped for a raise then smooth called then if it went the way that you want it to after that he would raise the turn and then raised the river then you could reraise him but it didnt look like he had very much so you played that pretty good..

wow that guy lost the minimum, flopping the flush! Either he was really scared of a bigger flush, or he thought he was traping, but was smart enough not to go broke when a full house became a possibility. He might have called a larger river bet, but it's hard to say. i DO ADMIRE the fact that he lost so little!
