THF Player of the Year
You can play as good as you want but in a freeroll you will always have to watch out for the outdraws. In that same hand your opponent could be holding AK and would have also called your All In because 'he didnt believe you' and could have hit an A on the river. There's not much you can do about it in a freeroll.

The best playstyle for me in freerolls does seem to be tight-aggressive/passive. Going All In on the flop to make a player lay down a flush draw will not work and as you can see they will not lay down a straight draw either. Betting each round will work much better and if you can prevent from getting pot committed you can fold your hand and wait for a better opportunity.

Staying alive is my objective in MTT's but on the other hand if I want to win a MTT I will have to win hands like this.

It really depends on how everyone was playing, but I might presume the chip leader with more than twice the chips as you and the big blind, may be button bullying and I would have pushed with a big raise (possibly an all-in) or folded. You left the door open for too many scenario's and got one you didn't want to have. In freerolls you don't have much to lose by gambling which is what SacreDoMg did. Be reminded this is only my opinion and how I would have looked at it which doesn't mean a whole lot!!

I dont like allin after flop just bet 3x blinds and then on turn 4x and if he goes over the top then make a decision based on your read...

Yea i agree with alot thats been said already here. I'm with Captious on this one, no need for the allin on the flop, especially with the fact that in normal circumstances your only going to be called by a hand that beats you like a set or an overpair. He took a gamble and got lucky though. nothing you can really do there.

Personally i would have re-raised preflop, looking at the position of the raiser. Plus i would have found out where exactly i stood in the hand (if i was re-raised i was looking at AK minimum, but probably a pair higher then tens). However, if he just calls, your more likely looking at high cards such as KQ or a lower pair then 10's. This would allow you to read the flop texture more acuurately. In your situation, i would have bet 3/4 of the pot on the flop and then continued on the turn, not committing myself compeltly in the event of a re-raise, from which you can make a decision based on your read.
